So Many Doctors For Lindsay
We all know how much Lindsay loves her pills.
But we had no idea that she goes through such a rigorous process to obtain them!
Sources close to Lindsay say that she goes to at least six different doctors who are willing to dish out her various cocktail of prescription drugs. "When one doctor says no to refilling a prescription, she will go to the next. It’s a whole process to get what she needed.”
She apparently has doctors all across the country from Los Angeles to New York, including a past rehab facility that still prescribes meds for her. She also makes sure to get a "large supply every time" so that she always has a full stock of what she needs.
This is such a dangerous downward spiral. If it's not coke or booze, it's "prescribed" meds. Will jail and rehab help this girl??

No, she's a lost cause.
She needs to surround herself with people who are unafraid to tell her the truth. She has an enabler for a mother, a deadbeat for a father, and a group of hanger-oners who tell her whatever she wants to hear. The judge really did her a favor by sentencing her to 90 days in jail, because it will probably save her life.
This reminds me of Michael Jackson… sadly, she'll probably end up the same way…
nothing will help her sure you can stick her in rehab and jail and she might act like she's fine for awhile then she wil relapse and be down the same path not to be negative but she will be lucky to live till 30 at the rate she's going

So sad, because this seems to be the new way of life for young hollywood. Look at how many beautiful, talented, young actors/actresses/singers/entertainers have gone these last couple of years. So sad… she's a alost cause but she won't get it untill it's too late, because nobody will help her.

WHO are these doctors. I take anti-depresaants, and I have to see my doctor each and every month before I can get a refill. I've had blood tests, liver tests, etc — as long term use of ANY drug can raise havoc on the body. These doctors need to be investigated stat!

If she is drug addicted or Bi-Polar putting her straight into jail is only going to make things worse! She needs to be put on a 5150 hold and sent to a hospital for detox. If she is not drug additced then she should be tested for Bi-polar disease.

If the real problem is Bi-Polar disease then jail and rehab should be forgiven and probation and a conservatorship with very strict treatment started, independant evaluation conducted, and fiscal evaluation completed and a plan instituted.

Yes, these doctors that are giving Lindsay these prescription medications should be investigated, but if they can't give her these drugs, another one will.
Lindsanity's insatiable appetite for prescription drugs will be difficult to kick. Hopefully, she'll be in a REHAB facility while she's serving her 90-day jail term and then move on to still another REHAB center. GirlFriend has MAJOR issues. Her father is more accurate about her condition than most people give him credit for.

Any physician who prescribes her pain killers or sleeping pills is reprehensible. No one needs pills like that unless there is acute pain and injury, and even something like Ambian is very addictive, mind-altering, and dangerous.
Let her OD. Then we won't have to hear her blame everyone and God for her problems.
Once you're addicted to something, that's it, your hooked for life. The only way you can stop is to completely change your lifestyle so that you never fall back into old habits, and you have to really want to change because the cravings, big or small, will always be there. If Lindsay continues to surround herself with enablers and hangers on, and if her parents continue to treat her as if she's there to provide for them then she'll never get better. Sadly I don't think she'll get out of this mess.
Maybe she needs the pills to cope with the pain of her premature forehead botox injections and unnecessary lip plumpers! That stuff hurts! Yikes!

Maybe now you will also lighten up on her father who is actually the ONLY ONE in her immediate circle who cares enough to put on the pressure to help his daughter. He is not a fame whore at all - he is at his wits ends and has to resort to publically pressuring his daughter since she refuses to listen. If it were not for him - she would already be in a wooden box.

I had a C-section and they gave me Dilaudid and that is a serious heavy duty drug. It was like I would imagine heroin to be. I said to my husband I would have another one just to get the Dilaudid. I can't imagine what they would have given her a prescription for???? Someone needs to investigate her doctor. And sadly, her father right now sounds more rational than her mother. Granted, they are both making money off of her, but her father at least admits she has a problem. Sad sad sad. I just saw an old interview of her when she did that movie where she was the twin and it's sad to see how far down she has sunk since then. I wish someone would intervene for the younger sister and brother because seriously there is something wrong in that home.

She's an adult and should try to improve her situation; however, this girl seems to have only ever been used as a cash cow and an excuse to get into a club or live vicariously through one's daughter. She seems to have had no guidance and that can be fatal. It could also have a lot to due with her numbing the pain, and never wanting to be alone. She's another "little girl lost." I'm not a Lindsay fan, but no, I don't want to see anyone hurt, ever. Her parents need to walk the walk now that they've talked the talk. Where has her "wonderful" Mum been during all of this?

Everything about this poor girls life is just disgusting. If reports are correct, she was given prescription meds as a child. Obviously this action would have had to be endorsed by her legal guardians, namely one or both of her parents. So tell me who started all this shit, who set this kid up right from the beginning. That is who should be going to jail. The actions of some people in pursuit of fame and money are despicable.

It's people like her that demonize medications that actually help a lot of people who can handle taking it without abusing it. So many people think drugs like painkillers and adderall are horrible– they are when they're abused, but there are a lot of people out there legitimately in pain or that have severe ADD/ADHD problems that NEED those medications to get out of bed and try to function every day. She makes me sick.

Re: katelily – An addict has to WANT to get clean in order for it to happen. It is clear that Lindsay has absolutely no desire or intention to clean up her life and get clean. I have very close friends who are recovering addicts in NA, and I've seen how awful addiction is. Over-coming it and staying clean doesn't come without insane effort every single day (friends are 5+ years clean and it's a daily struggle even still), and for Lindsay it's just easier and more fun to live high. I hope she figures things out and stays clean after rehab. She's certainly not going to get through her 20's unless she turns it around.

I think jail would be good for her so she can see that she shouldn't take life for granted. She has what most people would want and that fame and money and yet she is wasting it all on drugs and drinking and partying with friends and people who just take advantage of her. I hope that she gets better and learns her lesson.
So sad…. if they appeal and delay her sentence for 6 mths to a year she is delaying the eventual. Also jail will not "fix" this girl. She will need near death experience. I too have to see the doctor each month & take multiple blood tests, and I appreciate it. My doctor acts like a real doctor, not a drug pusher in a white coat. These doctors need to be thrown in prison & have their licenses revoked.

I wonder about these doctors, too! I have degenerative disc disease so bad that my back is broken most of the time…and although I take percocet daily for the pain, I am monitored closely every month. My doc will not prescribe dilauded because it can cause severe breathing problems if you take too much. What the hell are doctors prescribing dilauded to her for?? On top of Adderal and Ambien. She is going to wind up dead and these doctors will guilty of manslaughter…just like Michael Jackson's doc. I agree with other posters that these doctors should be investigated and have their licenses taken away.
If she doesn't acknowlege she has a problem, rehab will do nothing. Only thing I see stopping her is death. So sad.
Doctor shopping is common amongst pill addicts. She goes to straight jail for 90 days, she'll want to use all the more when she gets out. That's when I see an overdose happening. She REALLY needs a harsh reality strict type of rehab, not at some fancy posh resort where they think you'll get better with a few massages and a little yoga. Once you are an addict, you are forever an addict - that doesn't change. BUT you can be an addict and not indulge in it - these are the lessons she needs to learn. It's too bad her fucked up parents were addicts themselves and couldn't show her a different way of life. No, I don't fully blame her parents for her actions but the way she was raised probably has a lot to do with her casual attitude towards drugs.

The Judge should order an investigation into each prescription and the prescribing Doctor to ensure they are medically necessary and to ensure insure Lindsey does not have duplicate medications from separate doctors. We have no right to say whether her Rxs are valid or not… I have several health issues that require what may seem to be a dangerous cocktail of medications to the layperson. It is important to remember that, like me, she probably doesn’t take all the medications all at once, therefore the medications that cause sleepiness are taken at bedtime, the ADD medications are taken in the morning, and the pain medication as needed. We also need to recognize the jacked-up childhood she had and her plain stupid parents. She had no chance to have a healthy emotional, physical, or spiritual life. I hope she gains some inner peace during her incarceration for it will teacher her that she is strong enough to stand above her family drama and the seedy nature of Hollywood. Please give her a break… leave her alone for a while so she can heal and return to the person she was before all the drama.
