Charges Dropped Against Rip Torn

Charges were dropped against 30 Rock actor, Rip Torn, who was arrested in January after allegedly breaking into a bank (thinking it was his own home) "while drunk and carrying a loaded weapon."

But only the burglary charges have been dropped. The actor still faces consequences related to his possession of a firearm without a permit, criminal mischief and trespassing charges.

Torn and his lawyer, Thomas Waterfall, believe the charges could be dropped if he undergoes accelerated rehabilitation along with probation.

Looks like one less person to keep Lindsanity company in the slammer!

Hes a really nice guy and good actor. And I am happy that he wont have to suffer through jail. But waking up on the floor of a bank because you were drunk enough to think it was your house. Holy shit Id go to jail for 5 years.

While other people who have done the EXACT SAME THING are thrown in prison for years and given a lifelong life-limiting felony conviction & record!
