David Lynch Asks Fans To Fund Film Project

Everyone's feeling the recession!
Director David Lynch is turning to "crowd-funding" for his latest film, a documentary about his life and work. He is asking fans to donate $50 as a gift to finance the film.
Producer Jon Nguyen explains:
"A film can take a long time to finance so we had this crowd-funding idea. We went to David Lynch for his seal of approval and he was up for it. He ended up making an abstract self-portrait and we're going to give an original print of it to anyone who chooses to donate $50 towards the film, or a T-shirt featuring the print. We hope to raise part of the money in this way."
The film, Lynch Three, will be the third documentary following Lynch's career and donating fans will also get the chance to offer their input about what they want to see in the film. Nguyen continues:
"Not only are we looking for financial support, but we're also very interested in connecting with his fans for feedback and input. There are so many questions that we would like to ask David and building a network of his fans enables us to reach out to them and hear what his fans would like to ask him if they could hold the camera."
Inneresting!
Will U be forking over 50 bucks for Mr. Lynch?

riiiiiight, my check is in the mail
yes
Eh, hows about NO!?
Wow…way to take money from broke americans when you are too cheap to fund your own project
Brilliant man……I would give him 50$
Not broke enough to have the internet and spend the day on it…eh
Let's see. I should turn over my cash to a man who makes about $2000 to every $1 that I make so that he can make a vanity project about himself. The third vanity project about himself. On top of this he's not even going to pay me back or offer me the same terms that any other financier would get. Hmmmm I'm thinking Mr Lynch should go fuck himself and try again. If this was a project that would eventually help people I'd jump on board.
He are they at least going to list every person that forks over cash an executive producer credit?
I will if I get a share in the profits
oh hell no.
Love him- sending in my 50.
If he puts me in the movie, I'll pay. But I find it hard to believe that he can't find funding elsewhere for this. Kinda tacky to ask people to pay.
No way. Two words: Mulholland Dr.
fuck him.I'll never forgive him for Dune
Fuck that–how about he gives me $50 per fucked up movie of his that I've sat through. That sounds more reasonable.
Maybe he'll find out how irrelevant he is when he collects a couple thousand $$. Mr. Lynch, please drift off to oblivion where you belong.
all your films are SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
fuck NO… none of them make since !
FAILURE
How full of yourself do you have to be to ask people to fund a film project about yourself??
Wow. sell a house and a few cars maybe.
whatever get off your ass and pay for it yourself…
Re: leopardqueen – You might want to consider that not everyone has Sat and Sun as their days off. I have Tues and Wed off so I actually can sit around and be on the internet. That doesn't mean that I'm rolling in the dough to the extent that I want to finance someone's vanity project.
Fund your own fu**ing film…the public is not the U.S. Government giving you a bailout…rather gally of Mr. Lynch to ask for money from a Country in financial ruin.
What a fucking bitch…
