Ne-Yo Sued!

Now what!

Ne-Yo is facing down a lawsuit from the promoters of his canceled 2008 New Year's Eve concert in Washington state.

The promoter claims that not only was he not refunded the money for the canceled gig by Ne-Yo's booking agent, but he also has a "damaged" reputation.

The lawsuit seeks $1 million dollars in damages, to refund the $95,000 deposit and the rest to clean up his rep. (Sure, it will take that much money! Why are you questioning it???)

The real question is, why did Ne-Yo cancel the show in the first place? If he has a decent enough of an excuse, he may walk away winning this thing.

But we'll have to wait and see.

Hey, Rihannna! Make sure your booking agent has this all under control for all of YOUR canceled shows!

Perez. I love your site with all the "Exclusive" pictures on it. I've been a reader for over 2 years now. I get that you're GAY, I get that you're a queen but Honestly.. Some of your comments are just so far out there it is… well, I guess offensive. Again I get that about your site. BUT… Some of your comments I can't help but think are envious about the celeb. You bang on about so called celebs selling themselves out but you're the celeb now and are massively selling yourself out. The Ads on your site are massive. I logged on the other day and thought I'd logged on to the Twillight Site. Perez… I love your site but please stop the massive advertisement and also the hypercritical comments.

I live in WA State, and I'm a native Washingtonian, and I wouldn't go see this concert even if it had been FREE! B-O-RI-N-G!!!!

Ne-Yo has cancelled two separate concerts in Washington State. I think his booking agent should be fired for booking him in less-than-stellar venues.

EVERYONE thought the whole thing was a scam & the promoters just walked away with "all that $$".
how does it even sound like a good scam? lol. 2 throw an event @ the Meydenbauer Center (this is no hole in the wall. its the freakin City Center for goodness sakes!), pay promoters, pay talent (Djs, opening acts, & ne-yo who asked $140,000 2 basically show up, shuffle his feet across the stage, & hit a few high notes) PLUS time & energy 2 put the whole thing together for a 1600+ guest. SMH..
PU-LEEEASE!! no where near worth all that trouble. do the math!
if it was just a scam, i dont see how it would be making its way 2 court @ the end of this month; a year & a half after it all went down.
& 2 answer perez's question… supposively he had some delay in his flight : / maybe i'm no performer… but if i was an artist & needing 2 perform sumwhere i think i'd plan ahead or should i say, have my agent (esterman) make sure i was there early 2 avoid such mishaps. he planned on arriving @ 1130pm when he was supposed 2 perform 30 minutes later. after a looong flight, no shower? no need 2 eat? no sound check/warm up??? he was just gona show up ready. ummm ya… sure

i worked on this event & glad its finally coming 2 light (but not like i'm holding a grudge or anything) :p
