R.I.P.

New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner has died this morning after suffering a massive heart attack.

Steinbrenner owned the Yankees for 37 years and in that time the baseball team won 7 World Series titles and 11 pennants.

He just celebrated his 80th birthday on July 4.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Billy Bean the owner of the A's one of the smallest market teams in baseball has praised Steinbrenners efforts through the yankees to re invigorating the sport. RIP BOSS. Really sad week for the yankees. It's very rare to find an owner who is so dedicated to his team and who would spend whatever amount of money necessary to give the greatest city in the world a competitive team year after year. You will be missed Mr. Steinbrenner thanks for the memories!

He was one hell of a boss. Anyone that comes on here to bash such an amazing man is simply ignorant and completely heartless. He may have done things in a way others may not approve, but we are all human. No one is an angel during their entire life. However, he's now watching over everyone that cared about him and valued him as a boss, father, friend, husband, and brother. RIP Georgie. May the wind always be at your back, and the sun upon your face.
