That's what we call flying under the radar! (Or no one giving a shiz about you anymore!)
Former Vice President Dick Cheney had heart surgery last week when he "began to experience increasing congestive heart failure."
Now that he is in recovery, Dick and his peeps released a statement about the ordeal, explaining that he had entered a "new phase" of his battle with heart disease and decided to take action. The statement reads:
"After a series of recent tests and discussions with my doctors, I decided to take advantage of one of the new technologies available and have a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) implanted. The LVAD is a small implantable pump that improves heart function and will enable me to resume an active life.
Last week I underwent surgery at Inova Fairfax Heart and Vascular Institute and had an LVAD implanted. The operation went very well and I am now recuperating. "
It must be nice to be old and have a lot of old money to be able to pay for such things. Too bad the rest of the senior citizens in America can't say that. If only someone had taken better care of them during their time in the White House…
No word yet if Dick is still in the hospital or not and no word if his best pal Georgey went to visit him.
