      Loved it! Genius! I think it was a really good move that they cleared up the rumors and showed the viewers and fans that yes…most of the show was fake and was filmed on a set and though some situations and story lines were real…it wasn't a straight up reality show where every moment was the truth.

      So, my boyfriend I watched together tonight (my boyfriend happens to be Kristin Cavallari's cousin, met her 3 times now, she's a nice gal) and I LOVED it! he hated it. But, he's only seen the show like 2 times, which is sad cuz he's family.But again, I must say, I LOVED it…i thought it was shocking!!! I was surprised!!

      Lauren left the Speidi wedding in a car that had the same license plate as the one Kristin left in, in the finale. "INTL05". And Kristin claims to know '1 person' in Europe…. Spinoff! Theyre so filming a show in Europe together. No wonder they were so chummy at the end of the finale.

      Not a fan of the show but glad that they finally took notice that a lot of us knew there were so many aspects of the show that were fake. They made light of it by showing that last scene. glad its over.

      Dorks. That final scene with Brody and the STATIC Hollywood sign in the background was filmed AFTER Brody see's Whats-her-name off, also with the Hollywood sign in the background. One was non scripted, the other one just to screw with you meatheads.

      The show is indeed fake, to some extent. I don't think The Hills is scripted, however I think it's exaggerated, and influenced by many of the crew members. I would say 80% of the storyline is real, but 60% of the drama was fake. Speidi is definitely real ! That's why they got fired

      all of you are dumb. it was meant to be ironic. not to make us realize that the show was fake. the whole series was all shot in hollywood with no sets. it was a joke at the end. duh little bits and pieces of the show were scripted.. and as for everyone on the show referring to "cast" members, they were talking about camera crews, directors, people like that, not the characters on the show.

I just noticed when watching reruns over the weekend, as Lauren's car was pulling away, they flashed the license plate that said "INTL05"… All that talk about her not knowing her next step, I guess she went international… and now to see Kristin's license plate saying the same thing, I think its an intentional hint to ppl who pay too much attention to detail ;) It is a set up for the plot, it's not all scripted, they just tell the cast what to discuss, and whatnot. The let the discussions happen, and when they hear what they have to say, they have them go back and do multiple takes of the dialogue. So it's like, 1/2 fake? Does anyone else find it funny that they always end up in th same club/parties? I don't know why they still act surprised.

      After the kids on this show became "celebrities" and were followed around by paparazzis, they had no choice but to script the show and film in on sets because we would have know the story lines months ahead of the shows actually being shown on TV. I like that ending, for all those who thought the last few seasons were 100% real, it helped to clear that up.

      First off some of the extremists on this page may have THOUGHT it was fake but nobody actually knew 4 sure. AND if u r not a fan of the show than y would u waste ur time on this feed? I think it was cool the way they did it….. it was a cool conclusion!       I haven't seen all of this series because it hasn't been aired in England yet, and I only caught 2 mins of the finale but still WTF.
      it's a good way to end it, for closure for the audience, they are finally admitting it was all scripted - but me personally, as a avid fan, I did not want to see that ending.
      It definately went downhill since Lauren Conrad left.
      ahhh I miss the days of Laguna Beach or even series 1,2,3 + 4 of The Hills.

      Lol I can only imagine how all the people who've watched from season one to now are feeling! Thankfully for me, this was literally maybe the fourth of fifth episode of the hills I've EVER watched. I had to tune in to see the last episode lolol.
