Lien Filed Against Celine Dion's Home

And this is the second lien filed against the property this year!

John J. Churey Construction, Inc. has filed a lien against Celine Dion for $28,000 for work on the singer's unfinished home in Jupiter Island, Florida.

She allegedly has not paid on a $68,960 concrete pumping project.

Maybe the work wasn't done correctly & she's holding payment until things are fixed or finished. They could be disputing it & now she's being sued for not letting someone walk all over her. Get the whole story…

Doesn't mean she did it on purpose.. Could mean that she paid a contractor the right amount and he didn't F'N pay his subcontractors fairly..

Been there done that…

Oh Please ~ Celine Dion could spend 28,000.00 for lunch and not even put a dent in her pocket money. If she is not paying an invoice, it is because they are trying to cheat her. Not surprised it was the second one in a year, because I think it is highly likely that many working people who have interactions with her are quick to think that they have just hit a jackpot.

If you knew anything about how homes are made, you would know that she doesn't cut a check when the concrete pumps show up. She has one point of contact with the builder. Builders will hold back a certain percentage from sub contractors until the work is complete to their satisfaction. Any sub that has to file a $28k lien on a construction manager building $10m + homes is a moron that either doesn't want to work or fucked up. This has nothing to do with Celine in any way.

Stupid post. This happens all the time when building a new home or renovating a home. The general contractor didn't pay the plumbing company so the only thing they can do is put a lien. Dion pays the general contractor directly, the general contractor contracts people.
