Just hours before she is supposed to turn herself over to the court, La Loca Lohan's new attorney, Robert Shapiro, has resigned. A reason was not immediately given.

One of Shapiro's conditions to represent Lohan was that she comply with court orders - and his orders.

One can only assume!

There is a life on the line. Her life. Lindsay, do your time (it will amount to 3 weeks or so) then do your rehab and get better. If Lilo gets sober, I'm predicting an Oscar within 5 years of her sobriety b-day. Either way, Shapiro dropping her ass isn't a good sign.

      America is a free country. People here are free to do just about anything. Included in that, sadly, tough is the freedom to destroy oneself or otherwise self-destruct.
      Lindsay may need lots of "help", "programs" and "love". But the COURTS are for legal matters. She has (and has had) more opportunities for help than are available or offered to most any other American in, well, America.
      2 million people are in America's prisons and jail systems. Being modest in my estimate, I would say, maybe A MILLION OF THEM could have benefited from outside programs and rehab and help (and love).
      But they're in the courts because (in the meantime) their behaviors have them BREAKING LAWS and defying judgments.
      Lindsay isn't a special case that way. No more special than another 2 million people who don't get to play the Court and judicial system this way.
      If she can argue that she can get help OUT HERE, she can spend the next 90 days in there getting help.
      But will she?

      Come on, Perez! Did you really think he would stick? Shapiro's best days are behind him. He always was a publicity whore. A couple of things must be going on: Number One: with Shapiro is $$$$$. He must have found out that Lindsay overreached herself and really cannot afford him financially. Shapiro gets paid.

      Second, Lindsay's his client, but he's also dealing with the "family." Dina and Michael are like leeches! The most meddling, intrusive, disgusting people around! They are probably making all kinds of demands speaking out of turn in public and generally being a pain in the ass. Shapiro didn't get one client, he got a majorly dysfunctional family, probably insisting he do all kinds of shit, some of it unethical or illegal. Lindsay has to decide whether she lstens to her mother, or she listens to her lawyer.

      They absolutely do not think Lindsay ought to be in jail. Now if they keep making a spectacle of themselves she will have to serve out her full sentence. If they wuold sit down and STFU, maybe she'd be out in a day or two.

      This isn't as simple as just blaming Lindsay and dissing her as a trainwreck. Except for one thing:Lindsay has bad judgement.
