Update! Conan's Category NOT Cut From Emmy's

Conan's back on the air. We kid, but really he is.

It has just been clarified that the The Tonight Shows' Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series," (aka VCM) has NOT been cut from the primetime Emmy telecast.

The winner for outstanding VCM writing will not be presented during the primetime Emmys.

BUT.

"The overall outstanding VCM series category (the big one, in other words) for which O'Brien is nominated, the one that drew all the headlines when the Emmy nominations were announced … that is IN the Emmy telecast."

Even though the show is nominated for both categories, as long as the big one is aired it's fine with us.

He wil get booed if his name just happens to be called as a winner - money talks, it could happen. His stint as the Tonight Show anchor was disasterous, pure and simple. The suits knew it, he knows it.
