David After Dentist was funny because it was original and let's face it, a little kid wondering out loud "Is this real life?" after his first gas trip at the dentist has a little more appeal than this mess. I wonder how many other people are going to put their post dentist ramblings on the Internet and then try to make a buck selling t-shirts like David?
Okay, either this is fake, or their giving some powerful drugs for dental procedures these days. I had my wisdom teeth out about 10 years ago, and it was nothing like that.
I got put under at the dentist befor but did not act like that when I woke up. It only tool me a few mins to come back to reality.

They wouldnt of let him leave the clinic still delusional. He took medication when he got home. But his reaction was a classic feeling after you do get you wisdom teeth pulled.

well, I'm a nurse and I can assure you that no dentist or oral surgeon would send you home in that condition. And if anything, they'd send you home with a PRESCRIPTION for antibiotics (which don't make you loopy) and possibly a low dose of vicodan…and that's a VERY low dose. They would not GIVE you the prescriptions in the office unless they have a registered pharmaceutical area there-which means by the time you got your prescriptions filled, you'd no longer be under the influence of any kind of meds.

That nurse was being a total bitch to someone who couldn't control his actions because he was so sedated. Geez, lady, lighten up.

My god this video is terrible! Has a very fake vibe, there are no catch phrases, and it goes on for far too long. Plus everyone in the video has a real douchey personality.

I believe it. First off, they sedate people with more stronger meds when they have a fear of doctors. I used to take clients to see the dentist and we had to give one a sedative before we left the house and once we got him to the dentist, they did the rest and he was out. when he came to, he was like this guy. When I had a minor procedure, I was like this guy. Ran into walls, slept in the car and the minute I got home, passed out again for a couple of hours.. Stuff is strong..I could not for the life of me remember much from the time I woke up from the procedure to the time I woke up after falling asleep again at home..And another poster is right, he has such pretty hair..
OK so she is not a "nurse" this is a dentist office….I am a nurse, please don't assume that everyone in scurbs are NURSES..she probably knew he was jacking around and that in itself gets old….

It is fairly obvious by the way in which he talks about 'Did I walk over here?/I remember telling the lady…' NOT TO MENTION THE FACT that the nurse sits down to measure his BLOOD PRESSURE that he opted for "General Anesthesia" to aid in his surgery. Not everyone goes for local anesthesia when having their wisdom teeth extracted… some of us deal with overwhelming anxiety issues when seeing a dentist for even the most ordinary of dental consultations so it is not that uncommon at all for people to choose to 'go under' completely. His reaction to coming to post-surgery is very consistent to my own oral surgery experiences. Unlike the effects of local anesthetics during dental extractions, 'General Anesthesia' infers effects and symptoms of nearly all legitimate surgical procedures and unlike an operation that takes place within a hospital setting, dental offices do not have a hospital bed available for post-op recovery so they essentially slap your hands a few times to bring you back from the ether and they send you home in whatever state you are in upon waking up. I have been sent home with cases of violent vomitus (from the general anesthesia) after ALL of my oral surgeries, trust me, once the oral surgeon is finished with his work… they want you out of their office as quickly as possible!
In any case, this guy is terribly good looking! Yum.
Now I can understand why Lindsay Lohan loves to go see the dentist…

Anyone heard of conscience sedation? This is EXACTLY what happens after you have conscience sedation and nitrous. No joke. They give you a pill an hour before your proceedure, then they give you anywhere from 1-3 about 10 minutes before and then gas you up. They take your blood pressure thru out. I was a damn fool for 2 hours after I had mine proceedures done and remember about 2 things I said. My husband and kids laughed their asses off telling me all that I said.

totally real. yeah different oral surgeons give different things, but a lot of them give intense pain meds for the first 48 hours post op.

Seems a little exaggerated. The WHOLE family goes along, just for wisdom teeth? It's not like a major surgery or anything. They are probably hoping for a reality show.

I live in canada and all they gave me is a mouth drying pill and a few numbing shots for my mouth..
