American jazz singer and seven-time Grammy winner Al Jarreau is in critical condition after collapsing on stage during a concert in Barcelonnette in the southeast of France.

Sources say he was suffering from respiratory problems, adding, "He was rushed to hospital … his condition is critical. He's in intensive care. He is still conscious but slightly drowsy because of the medication and the breathing apparatus."

Oh no! We hope he has a speedy recovery!

He collapsed shortly BEFORE he took the stage, and had an abnormally fast heart beat. He's critical, but is conscious and slightly drowsy. (contactmusic.com)
