weed is not an adictive drug, you my like it a lot but not going to have severe withdraws if you dont get it.

  2. 2

Since when do you need rehab for weed??? These attention starved Z lister…how pathetic!!!

  3. 3

Anyone who says pot is not addictive did not actually smoke it much. I am currently quitting pot and it has been only 8 days and i am still in hell. I was a person who toked up 15 times a day, everyday, for 8 years and it becomes a part of life. I could not eat in the morning without it. I don't enjoy anything i used to. And I am still nauseas and emotional. Pot is addictive, just because you don't convulse or need medical attention from its' withdrawals, does not lessen the fact that they exist.

Addicted to ganja? hahaha. Hey, Eric, here's how one stops weed. Just don't do it. Real easy. Addicted to weed. hohoho. What's next. Screech from Saved by the Bell going on for caffeine addiction.

Re: luva4eva – I agree. I went through a period of time where I smoked it a lot and then stopped and I was going freaking out of my mind craving it and sick to my stomach and irritable. Then a couple of years later I smoked it a couple of times and fucking hated it. Now the smell of it makes me want to vomit. Ha! Go figure.

  6. 6

interesting that she called it one of their "projects"

  7. 7

Are you folks separating 'habit' from 'addiction'?! And Lohan is still a tired-looking whore.

WHOA, SHE'S STILL AROUND?? SHE'S GOTTEN REAL THICK OVER RECENT YEARS. I THOT THEY DIVORCED AFTER SHE CLAIMED ERIC WAS PHYSICALLY AND VERBALLY ABUSIVE A FEW YEARS BACK. SHE'S GOT THAT HOARSE CRACKLY SMOKER'S VOICE GOIN ON… MAYBE SHE CAN DO VOICE OVERS FOR A FEW PORN VIDS. YA THINK??

  11. 11

Not buying that he's so addicted he needs celeb rehab….

  12. 12

Make haste, Eric! Quit right before it gets legalized…Heh.

  13. 13

    Good for him?

  14. 14

YOU CANNOT BECOME ADDICTED TO POT PEOPLE!!!

  15. 15

    Re: luva4evaRe: luva4eva

There is a difference between abuse and addiction. You can abuse a substance without becoming addicted to it.

Just because you are having a reaction (primarily psycho-somatic), doesn't mean a substance is addictive. I smoked every day for 13 years and had to quit suddenly for a year and a half. Sure, I missed it but suffered no physical withdrawal or other symptoms, which are what define addiction.

This dude is basically a nobody. He obviously just needs a paycheck and the show (a great one, btw. Dr. Drew is an excellent caregiver) needed another cast member. Hopefully he can get help for the root cause issues that make him want to escape to such an extreme degree that it negatively affects his life.

he is probaby doing the show for the check. they do pay these d-listers money for doing the show, you know. I remember only one going in b4 eric for pot. (the little girl that was on the show family matters) she said she liked to smoke weed on nights and weekends to relax herself. The update after the show said she still smoked on weekends. She did it for the check, just like eric is. I have quit smoking cigarettes and I can tell you, those are A LOT harder to quit long term, than pot is. But with both, its just part of breaking a habit. So are we going to start hearing about people going to rehab for smoking cigs?

  17. 17

He should dump his wife & marry me.

  18. 18

weed is NOT addictive. if you are "withdrawing" from weed you are more likely experiencing your pre-existing emotional psychological issues that the weed had merely helped repress/sedate. Check the real statistics–weed (and mushrooms) are both virtually impossible to form a dependancy, physically or psychologically. It is jackasses with latent mental issues who cause this "drug" negative reception. BUT, just like alcohol, these non-addictive substances CAN exacerbate pre-existing conditions.

If you have mental issues, don't drink.
If you have mental issues, don't smoke weed.

On the other hand I am a very ardent adversary of hard drugs such as heroine, coke, crack, meth, X, etc.

If it isn't grown from the ground and immediately usable God intended it for us. ;)

P.S. luva4eva, sorry dear but you have some deeprooted problems if you got yourself to the point of smoking that much. Are you/were you on any medications, other substances, supplements, caffeine, or smoke cigarettes? Sounds like you are merely feeling sobriety after indulging way too much. aka HANGOVER/WEEDOVER

    19

Weed might not cause a physical dependency but people can become psychologically dependent. Anyone who has ever known a hardcore pot head will tell you that it's an addiction like any other.

  20. 20

p.s. why do these dumbass celebs have to always blame their issues on something else? if anything this guy should go to rehab for addiction to attention, or addiction to sympathy. If anything (if not a scam for tv time) he has psychological issues) Dr. Drew shame shame you shoudl know better than to exploit patients under false pretenses of assumed diagnoses. these crazy people feed off of attention. you tell them they have a problem: they go out and milk the problem to every stereotypical symptom possible……BAM ! exposure!

  21. 21

Re: kaddict – Are you a doctor? A psychological addiction can cause physical reactions. As for marijuana not being addictive, you can be psychologically addicted to almost anything, obviously you've never heard of shopping or gambling addictions.

And maybe 'luve4eva' smoked that often because of their tolerance level, not necessarily because they have "deeprooted problems." seriously, get a clue.

  22. 22

I like this woman. She's really well spoken and has a good vibe.

  23. 23

Re: luva4eva – Thank you for your honesty. I have a couple of friends who are going through what you just described. It's not for every day use. Glad Robert is seeking help. He needs to get back to acting.

  24. 24

I had to quit weed due to the economy and the fact that any job paying a livable wage requires Pissing in a cup as part and parcel of even an interview! I wish it were legal, then I could grow it like I grow my Spider Plants and Philodendron, but due to Harry Anslinger's fear of Blacks and Mexicans schtupping the lil stoned White chicks, it had to be made illegal. Two months now and I somewhat miss it, tho not as bad as I feared, considering I've smoked (almost ) daily for about 32 years…

  25. 25

Re: thechaseman – Hi, not be funny but coming off of coffee will give you the worse headache EVER! Depends how long and how much you drink. Caffeine is addictive too. I had one cup to many and I had to quit. I now drink Natural Green Tea. Just sayin..

  26. 26

hydro weed can be just as addictive as a and b class drugs
alot of people have awful withdrawals from it
go to a rehab unit and see for urself

  27. 27

"Of course my husband isn't a real drug addict anymore, he quick that 18 years ago. He was legally prescribed benzodiazepines for his anxiety disorder, and those just made him feel more anxious." Honey, when you take benzos for too long you start to withdrawal when your doctor stops prescribing them because you are abusing them, it's worse than heroin withdrawal. You think maybe that was it? Also, if you knew anything about addiction and recovery you would know that anonymity is a MAJOR part of it. Also, Dr. Drew seems like a nice guy and I see that he is trying to make people more aware of addiction as a disease but he doesn't have a "special" philosophy. He counts on the desperate antimatter listers to go on the show for publicity, albeit negative so that he can help other people that will see it who may have not sought help yet. Celebrity rehab seems very lax in it's approach at recovery and more concerned with ratings and reality tv drama. If you really want help Eric Roberts don't go to a rehab with a television show, private chefs or private rooms, comfortable beds, or where anyone is going to kiss your ass for being a pseudo-celeb. Sorry guys, we can all see right through this. If you'd like to really get help I can suggest a few great places where it doesn't matter if you are famous or rich, you'll still get the same treatment. Which is what you really need if you are an addict who thinks they are better than though because they are celebrity newsworthy.

  28. 28

His mother shouldn't make clothes out of drape liners.

  29. 29

Oh, for F–'s sake, age queen. Anyone over 40 to you is Z-list. Eric may have issues, but he has far more talent in his right finger than his sister has in her whole body. Julia Roberts is an invention of her agent, Elaine Goldsmith. All form and no substance.

    Just your type, right, P?

  30. 30

I like Eric Roberts. Good guy. Entertaining in movies. Hope this helps him out.

  31. 31

"Addiction"… it's all in your head. You're all stupid and you can't be addicted to marijuana unless you already have an addictive personality. In that case, it's YOUR bad that you ever started smoking weed. As for the majority of people, carry on.

  32. 32

Weed is rarely addictive but CAN be. Ask me how I know…my brother loses his effing mind coming off pot.

  33. 33

Z-listers don't get roles in Dark Knight.

  34. 34

I never realized that his wife was such a plus sized person. She sounds like she smokes a little bit herself with the gruff Lindsey Lohan, Dina Lohan voice. She kinda looks like them at a glance. Is she related. She looks like she could fit right in to the trailer park that they will all end up in.

  35. 35

Sounds more like this guy is more addicted to fame than marijuana. I smoke several times a day everyday, and just last weekend left the state for a job where of course I did not bring the green stuff with me. When I came back I had completely forgotten about it. Its nice to have around but when I don't its not the end of the world…. now caffeine is a whole different story!!! I've been cut down to one 12 oz cup of coffee a day and still get headaches from withdrawal symptoms if I skip a day or two.

  36. 36

REHAB for WEED is REHAB for fucking LOSERS… live off your sister's money… if you're that fucking desperate… I mean you're giving weed a bad name fucking idiot!

  37. 37

for the person that said you can become psychologically addicted to weed… no you're psychologically addicted to smoking not the weed… dumbass

  38. 38

The pot smoking community is in serious denial about marijuana addiction. As a recovering (and sometimes still struggling) marijuana addict, I can tell you that it is a VERY real addiction. Just because a substance or activity has no "withdrawal" symptoms does not mean a person can't develop a powerful psychological addiction to it. Many widely accepted addictions have no aspect of chemical dependency (gambling, shopping, sex). Addiction is NOT about the substance or activity, it is about the compulsive behavior around it which has a negative impact on the addict's quality of life.

  39. 39

Additionally, there have been recent studies that show that marijuana DOES have withdrawal symptoms (loss of appetite, irritability, anxiety, sleeplessness). Any heavy smokers that have tried to quit can tell you that the first week can be rough, and there can DEFINITELY be some hard core cravings. Because THC stays in your system for several weeks, often these symptoms go unnoticed because they might not surface until long after quitting. Sure, no one is going to die from a pot overdose, but it can seriously impact a person's quality of life. Heavy users become lethargic, lazy, unmotivated and often isolate themselves, which can lead to serious depression. Take it from me. I've been there. If any of you out there think it might be an issue, there is help out there. Don't be afraid to ask for it.

Re: buggadaboo – You're a pathetic loser. Have you ever seen her in person???!!! She's one of the most beautiful women of all time, and not even close to being plus size!

  41. 41

Re: xcalibur – You're such an idiot! This woman Saved his life! She's Brilliant and gorgeous and if you've ever seen her in person you'd know she's extremely thin.
