Is The Dazer Laser The New Weapon Of Choice?

The Dazer Laser is a new and effective tool for law enforcement that some say will replace tasers and pepper spray, which can cause physical pain and damage.

Watch the clip (above) and see how it "modulates a pool of green light" that "temporarily blind[s] and disorient[s] a suspect."

Sources say that police can use it as close as three feet and as far away as a mile-and-a-half without causing any damage to the eyes.

Better alternative than taser guns and pepper spray?? What do U think?

All I see are lawsuits. Overuse of tasers is bad enough, let alone blinding people.

  3. 3

This seems like it will be bad for people with epilepsy.

Is this what the world is coming to? What's the point of having police officers if they can't do what they need to do to deter crime?? Seriously people…soon all they will be allowed to do is look at an offender and say "please stop doing bad things". Ridiculous.

I think it's good IF it truly doesn't hurt someone's eyes. Who knows what could be found out years from now.

"As close as three feet away" yeah but let's get real, when holding someone down and struggling you know all the idiot brutality cops will shove it right into their face and blast the hell out of it for an extended period of time, with no regard for whether it blinds someone or not.

Just like tasers kill some people, these will inevitably blind some people. It says from 3 feet out they are safe. Close to the eye, I'm sure it will do damage. Don't assume everyone who gets tased deserves it. Only the person controlling the taser really knows that. And likewise, some who don't deserve it, will become blind, and I just hope it isn't me. You should hope the same!

    That's Gayzer.

    i'm keeping my pepper spray!

As if they can aim 1.5 miles away. Wonder how many car accidents they will cause and not admit to. Just like every other "safe" weapon they invent this one wont have side effects discovered until after the damage is done.

  12. 12

I'd like to own that lol.

  13. 13

Uhhhh…WHO says it doesn't hurt your eyes. I'd like to hear that from a panel of the top Opthamologists and Eye Surgeons first.

and not ones they pay to say what they want us to believe…..

  14. 14

And…. if the suspect isn't looking directly at you? What if they are fleeing?

  15. 15

I don't think it's meant to blind people like a flashlight to your retinas. I think it's meant to be like a strobe light where it's hard to tell what's going on. Much like when you're at a party and everything seems to be in slow motion when there's flahing lights.

  16. 16

This is unbelievably retarded. If someone gets tasered or pepper sprayed they were more than likely doing something to deserve it…which means i really don't give a fuck if they end up being in a little pain. Don't act like a fucking idiot with a cop and there ya go problem solved.

  17. 17

It looks better then the tasers that they use nowadays. They use them like lightsabers . Could be a good thing.

  18. 18

WHat if the suspect closes his eyes?
HOw will the cops be able to keep the gun 3 feet away from the person if they're struggling to get him?

  19. 19

ummm what if the suspect is epileptic? that shiz almost gave ME a seizure…

  20. 20

OMG! I've been blinded by watching this video. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh…..!

Great More arsenal. They don't seem to want to chase and catch anyone manually anymore, and that bugged me; but after a trip to an orthopedic surgeon to get something fixed, I found out why. The waiting room was full of sidelined police with upper body injuries.
