After performances in Central Park this summer, The Merchant of Venice is heading to the Broadhurst in October starring Al Pacino!

The Public Theater plans on 78 performances of the show with Pacino playing Shylock, the moneylender with a grudge. No word if his co-stars from The Shakespeare in the Park production will be joining him on Broadway including Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Sounds like a good show!

Really want to see this! He was a wonderful Shylock in the film version, and I'm curious to see what he does with this new production. :)

Al really admires Nick Nolte's old style.
