American Idol Judges Beware!
What do you get when you add Nigel Lythgoe to your Reality TV show? The answer is a number with many, many zeros.
Fox is currently in talks with reality producer Lythgoe in an effort to bring him back to American Idol, upon Simon Cowell’s tragic leave. Lythgoe is a Reality TV giant, who helped start the AI craze. Currently, he’s a producer and judge on So You Think You Can Dance.
Rumors are circulating that Lythgoe’s return may also be accompanied by a complete reboot of the judge’s panel - getting rid of all the current judges and hiring all new ones!
Standing in Lythgoe’s way is Randy Jackson, who has 1 year left on his contract, and Ellen Degeneres, who’s got a multiyear contract with Fox.
Lythgoe has an increasingly high-profile wish-list of potential judges, including Elton John, Justin Timberlake, and Chris Isaak. There is even some talk that Lythgoe himself might take a judge’s seat.

Lythgoe is the number one reason I stopped watching So You Think You Can Dance. He's just such a a grating, homophobic, self important, histrionic, ahole I can't stand to watch him or his show.
THE HAPPIEST OUTCOME OF THIS SITUATION IS FAT BOY PEREZ WILL NEVER GET A JUDGE'S SEAT!! YESSSSSSSSS!!!! NOW STFU MORON. NO ONE WANTS YOU.

This is the first time I've been excited about AI in 2 years. Buy 'em all out and start OVER! This last season SUCKED HARD.

I don´t get why they are still trying…Is it not better just give up with AI once for all?
Nowadays AI winners look like complete losers…go mostly nowhere …
Judges are just awkward in their trying to "play" in front of cameras …

I hope this man stays behind the scenes instead of on camera. He is the most annoying, camera hogging, self-serving person on reality TV. He luvs the sound of his veddy British voice and always makes snide remarks about the girls' outfits and does not seem very open minded.
Yup, I say go for it and start over. I like Nigel as a judge on SYTYCD so he should be the new head Judge at the table, Keep Randy or Kara (sort of like a Mary Murphy character ) then get 3 or 4 big name celebrity judges to rotate judging duties. Sort of like what they did on SYTYCD where they would change the 3rd judge every week.
I hope that Nigel doesn't turn the AI judges table into a bunch of middle aged white people like he did on SYTYCD. Nothing against middle aged white people, it's just nice to have a variety of races, ages and backgrounds.
Lythgoe is an ugly, rude, narcissistic, OLD DUDE who leeches off talented people. He's an ass and I also stopped watching SYTYCD this season because of him. (and I watched every show of the previous seasons and voted with my friends like crazy..lol)
