Nick Cave To Bring Coolness To Crow Remake

You know you’re cool when you collaborate with Brad Pitt on a project and YOU’RE the reason it was a cool movie.

Nick Cave composed the terrific score to Pitt’s The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Cool.

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (his band) made the infinitely listenable album Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!! Cooler.

And now, Nick Cave is rewriting the remake of The Crow. Coolest.

Cave, who was recently hired to rewrite director Stephen Norrington’s Crow script, has been approached before to work on large scale screenwriting projects.

A little while back, boring swashbuckling Robin Hood alumni Russell Crowe asked Cave to write a Gladiator sequel. That would have been extraordifantastically cool.

Crack open that laptop and get writing, Mr. Cave. Dazzle us some more with your coolness.

WTF? Seriously??? This d-bag, or anyone for that matter, should not re-do The Crow.. or attempt doing a "cool" sequel. That movie is AMAZING and should be left at that! Not ruined!
    Brandon Lee RIP!

  4. 4

What? NO. No remake of The Crow!

  5. 5

    Its gonna suck.
Its just cool to say you like Nick Cave.

  6. 6

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! The ORIGINAL brought the coolness! I will not see this movie. For shame, Hollywood, just because you're all out of ideas doesn't mean you mess with the classics. Or the utter sexiness of Brandon Lee.

  7. 7

BOO! HISSS! That movie is PERFECT! PERFECT! Oh hell no!!

  8. 8

Nick Cave is an underappreicated genius. "The Crow" was crappy and I KNOW Nick could do better with that story.

Wow Do Not remake The Crow!!! It's one of my all time favs. I find it funny that they will not be recasting the joker because of heath ledger but they are going to recast brandon lee who died making this movie. That's so fucked up. Idon't give a shit if this "new" version is the best movie ever i will not be seeing it!

I love Nick Cave, but re-doing the crow is sacrilege….why remake when there are so many new ideas out there to be heard and created? listen to the small people out there and get creative!!

No…it's NOT the "coolest!!" Brandon Lee died making The Crow; it's his movie. You can't get any better than Brandon in the original. Quit fucking with it, Hollywood!!

Shock Horror! You listen to Nick Cave?

  16. 16

OH NO!! THE CROW??? WE CAN'T DO THIS TO BRANDON LEE, EVEN IF BRAD PITT IS INVOLVED…NO WAY…PLEEEEEEEEEZZZZ…Didn't anyone learn when the sequels sucked without him???? PLEASE DON'T DO THIS TO BRANDON!!!

I feel that from the abundance of the adjective "cool" to describe Nick Cave (yes, he's cool, but I don't feel like that's the number one adjective I'd use to describe him) can lead us to conjecture that PH doesn't actually listen to Nick Cave at all.

    Also, let's be honest.

The Crow is an effing terrible movie. And yes, I too loved it as a wee goth middle-schooler. But, have you seen it recently? So. bloody. ridiculous.
