Cameron Diaz Too Scared To Do Theatre!

So basically, she's admitting she sucks?!

Cameron Diaz was asked at the London premiere of Knight and Day if she wanted to perform on the West End and she said no because of stage fright!

What the what?

She says:

"I am a film actress. I do movies. I have never done theatre before."

Who says that? She's an actress — period!

Not very impressive, Cammie!

    Shut the fuck up Perez.

  2. 2

Leave her alone Perez. There's a big difference between Broadway and Film acting. Huge Difference! At least she is smart enough to know that.

  3. 3

Seriously Perez….TV/Film is competely different from acting to an audience. There's no redo's. This time you've gone too far.

  4. 4

you are an idiot perez…no mistakes..to as many mistakes as you want..BIG difference retard

  5. 5

Whoever wrote this is a blockhead. Not very impressive. Anyone who knows anything about performing arts will tell you there is a world of difference between screen and stage acting. In film, scenes can be reshot and edited and on stage, a flawless performance is required in only one take, plus you have the added pressure of a live audience that will give you immediate reaction. Seriously, Mario. You should hire better, more professional help. It may cost more, but it would be worth it. The current crop are making you not only look bad, but like a stupid asshole, too.

Fuck you, pervez, you fat, pig faced pile of shit. She has more talent in one of her farts than you will ever have. You can barely write your name in the dirt with a stick, so shut the fuck up, pigboy.

  7. 7

Makes perfect sense. Film acting and acting on a live stage are two totally different things. Can you imagine having to memorize 2 hours worth of lines and not make one mistake? At least in filming you only need to memorize a little at a time and if you mess up, you can cut and re-do it.

Geez Perez, do you know anything!

  8. 8

Yeah, not so much… There's a HUGE difference between acting on stage and acting for the camera. It's not uncommon for theatre actors to be able to do film well, but it doesn't always work the other way around. Remember when Julia Roberts did "Three Days of Rain" on Broadway a few years ago? She got awful reviews and the play bombed. It's not the same as doing a movie. At all.

She's a mediocre at best actress. Horrible in "Gangs of New York".

  11. 11

no surprise there. many "movie stars" aren't real actors. film acting is really nothing but cut/paste in editing, so no talent required. that's why movies suck so much.

stfu you fat pig, not everyone is a "serious" actress, she is a working actress that prefers to do films because they can re do scenes to give viewers a great movie going experience get over it. I prefer her being honest than some of the pretentious twats out there. cameron knows she will probably never win an oscar, but shes a winner in life.

She cannot call herself an actress then. She should have said " I am a celebrity model turned film starlet" not actress.

  14. 14

Let's face it. She's horrible. She'd get skewered on the West End.

  15. 15

yeah, that would require a brain

  16. 16

There's absolutely a big difference between stage and film acting. There's much more pressure when performing on the stage. I don't blame her one bit for choosing not to do it.

  17. 17

Perez, you are about as logical as a brick. Film actress means 30 people around that you know that are not critiquing you. If you make a mistake, you do it over. Stage means hundreds of people, no chance to do things over, more fear. Take Barbara Streisand, she has a morbid fear of audiences. Does that mean she can't sing? Does that mean she is not a singer? No, that means she has stage freight.

  18. 18

Re: Bleucher – funniest thing i ever read on here, hahaha

Fucking fat ass perez spends all day dreaming of baby beibers lil pecker burried deep in his ass and thinks he could act on broadway. someone should stuff a rabid gerbil up his ass

  19. 19

she knows who she is. leave her alone.

  20. 20

As a person in the Television industry it is one thing to jump behind a camera and film and flub lines and have a bunch of people who are there just to make the film, it is quite another to be on stage infront of a live audience. It's like being completely naked in front of them. Plus many hollywood actors get stage fright while giving their awards speeches. It's a whole different ball game.

  21. 21

You get stupider and stupider everyday perez.

  22. 22

There is a HUGE difference between Film acting and stage acting. The connection to the audience, the exaggerated emotion, the live performance. You need to be on your game every night. Everything is blocked, everything rehearsed over and over. There are two different types of actors. Theatre actors and Film actors. Why do you think it is SO hard to become a broadway star? because it's brutal, and you need to be incredibly talented in that field.

  23. 23

Oh shut up, Perez. Do you not remember when Julia Roberts did Three Days of Rain? She was slaughtered critically because her presence didn't translate on stage as well as it does on film. Cameron Diaz knows what she's capable of and she know stage and film are two separate entities requiring different kinds of persona and presence. Grow up..

  24. 24

    because your a terrible actress…

  25. 25

I have never been a fan of hers, but I respect her honesty here. Plus, there is a huge difference between film acting and stage acting.

  26. 26

Perez i know your not an actor so you really don't know what your talking about. Performing live on stage is way different then acting in front of a camera. Some actors can do both very well others can only do one or the other. You shouldn't comment about things that you really have no idea about.

Who says that? Your a blogger with no music experience - period!

    Not very impressive, Perez!

  28. 28

    You are incorrect.
    Cameron is a film actress.
You can be a stage actress which is an entirely different medium.
Television actresses are also a different medium.
Different actresses excel at the different mediums; thats why some television actresses never make it on the big screen.

  29. 29

wow - its not like their actually different!
im sure a lot of film actors dont want to do theatre

  30. VGirl says – reply to this

    30

at least she's honest! Gotta love her for that. Not like other "film actors" that try broadway thinking is the same

  31. 31

No; I've been around actors all my life, and I've never met one that didn't consider their career to involve ALL forms of acting; typically, they do seasonal work on television, in films, and on stage on a rotating basis. Even famous film actors typically do theatre, usually because they love acting and want to. This is kind of weird and I was surprised to read it.

  32. 32

As noted there is a big difference between film acting and live performance (stage). That being said, she sucks at film acting so she should spare us from endeavoring to act on the stage.
