The latest coming from Hollywood is that J. Lo has signed on to replace Ellen DeGeneres on Idol.

Hey, she's got nothing better to do!

What are your thoughts on her possible appointment to the judges panel?????

I can't imagine why the producers would choose to sign J.Lo on for a television series whose sole purpose is finding talented new singers, rather than some skeevy little pink-doo'ed wannabe socialite Hollywood parasite like yourself- who has no singing or acting backround whatsoever, no reputable talent aside from exploiting people you'll never EVER be on the level with, a really shitty sense of humor and even shittier *handwriting*.       The only reason Jennifer Lopez could possibly be doing this is because she is not doing anything else. She can't sing, she barely can act, she was dropped by her record label, her latest album was canned, and her last movie flopped. She needs to keep raking it in somehow to support her lavish spending habits, and she's not exactly in demand in either film or music right now - nor will she be in the foreseeable future. After all, she's 41 now and she can't rely on shaking her wide rump for much longer. Usually by this age those with actual talent in the entertainment industry can continue to ride the wave of success for a while longer, but like I said before, her acting chops are sub-par and her vocal ability is virtually non-existent. Adding J Ho definitely won't save the show - in fact, it's probably going to be AI's final season - especially now that Simon is out. What actual advice can she give to those aspiring to be in the music business? Oh I know, maybe she'll advise them to sleep with record moguls and producers in exchange for shiteous tracks. Hey, it worked for her for a few years. How that is conducive to having tangible experience working in the music business is beyond me.

I can dance and I'm marketable, but I CANNOT sing. Actually, she could be the inspirational leader of the non singers from the auditions.       I think she would be a brilliant choice. After all, she is a hugely successful entertainer (what the show is trying to find). She knows what it takes to make it big, and knows what you can make out of modest talents (honestly not being mean here, she is genuinely worthy of the word beautiful, but I think even she would admit she doesn't have a stellar voice or acting ability). And think of the good advice she could give - she has built her own brand empire after all.

      I think she would be perfect as a judge. These days you have 2 have the look, dance and have a half way decent voice to make it. She admits that she does have a great voice. But she has the rest of the package. If celebrites listen to what most haters say, their career would be over. Most haters have the tendency to listen to other haters and that's keeps them down with eachother.

      Paula Abdul had very little talent and never sang live, so their are questions about her singing ability. But somehow she connected with the contestants and the audience. Let's give JLo a try and see how she does. She could be good.
      Also–Steven Tyler will be very interesting–he is a major talent, a bit crazy, and very opinionated. He's gonna be very interesting. I think the judges are going to be awesome and people will watch.

Why is it when people make movies or albums the world assumes that theyre trying to make a statement about being THE BEST EVER in that genre. Sometimes fluff is fun because its not trying to be the greatest movie youve ever seen, or the best song ever released, they are trying to serve a purpose. to entertain. sure they may not entertain you, but no one has a number 1 movie and album with ZERO talent. It takes talent to be that marketable in general. Shes not the best. Shes not trying to be or claiming to be. This world is such an enjoyable place when you aren't so cynical or critical of everything. I don't even like J.Lo, but yalls comments about how she sucks at this or that are just dumb.       I'm not a J-lo fan, but I do remember her being one of only a few quests on SNL, where she both hosted and was the musical guest. She did this twice, and both times effortlessly. You have to have some talent to pull that off.
