Leo Pulls Out Of MELtdown's Movie!
Smart move.
As far as we can tell, the chances of Mel Gibson recovering from his domestic violence scandal are slim-to-none. We know we're not the only ones who feel that way, but it's nice to have a little validation from an A-list movie star, like Leonardo DiCaprio.
Sources are reporting that Leo has pulled out from starring in Mel's upcoming viking flick. It is safe to say that with the impeccable reputation that he has garnered himself over the years and the wave of acclaim he is riding right now due to Inception, Leo doesn't want to risk his good name to be in a movie directed by a douchey, violent pig!
We sure as hell don't blame him!
So you've lost your reputation, credibility and any chance of making this movie. Is there anything left to take from Mel at this point? Because of there is, let's no dilly-dally. He doesn't deserve a speck of hope that he can be so profane and get away wih it.
Gee, wonder if Mel will be leaving Leo any messages now that he is left???

it is sad that people do not support each other in hollywood if it is not politically correct. They run like cochroaches when the lights are turned on. Amazing in that Mel Gibson was one person who did go out and support a few people, robert downy, britney spears, among others, when they were truely down. maybe this whole thing is a lie, not the first time you printed a lie. maybe the movie is cancelled. Don't even kid yourself asshat. Mel will be right back, Hollywood is so full of shit worse than this and it makes no difference to them. Having Leo pull out of a movie only make it more likely to succeed since he can't act to save his useless life. Whenever he is in ANY movie, it automatically makes my "will never watch" list.
I love Leo. I was bored of him until The Departed, but after that my childhood crush was reignited. The movies he has been making lately have been amazing.

The Hollywood Community has been looking for a chance to bury Mel Gibson ever since the huge success of The Passion of the Christ and true or not, these charges are a perfect vehicle for doing so. I think that everyone should adhere to that good old American dictum - Innocent until PROVEN guilty! But then, there'd be no fun in that for you, you despicable cretin, Perez, would there be?
Maybe he has a different reason to pull out of this film? Nonetheless, I think it's a smart move on his part not to be affiliated with this film. It's strange…..Mel's directorial efforts in both "Man Without A Face" and "Braveheart" were brilliant. Yet, his last two films are basically blood baths full of dark images, disturbing evil and human torture. It's as if you see the evolution of a madman projecting his thoughts and visions on screen, having the actors play out all the gory insanity. It was rumored that on the set of "Apocalypto," a few of the actors complained that Mel seemed out of his mind during most of the filming. It's one thing to work with a genius, but working with a "mad" genius is next to impossible.

Leo has the right to want to pull out of this film. Maybe he heard the tapes and wants nothing to do with Mel because he lost all respect for him. Either way Leo is for sure a class act. Not only is he one of the best actors ever but he is so smart and uses his fame to join different causes. His face is beautiful. He for sure is husband material. Every straight guy I personally know loves him, us females love him…he's been acting since he was a kid and he still manages to stay on top with pure talent…he defied the odds against child actors and really solidified himself as one of the best actors ever.

Prolly a smart move - it will be a long time or never before Mel recovers his reputation in Hollywood. Plus Leo tends to steer away from big-budge epics, since he doesn't really want to do another "Titanic" anytime soon. I do hope he's still working with Clint Eastwood on the movie about J. Edgar Hoover. Right now Leo can do no wrong - he even managed to beat Whorealina at the box office this past weekend - woohoo!

Leonardo did the right thing. Take a stand against abuse. I had my abusive husband arrested and jailed when he hit me with our baby in my arms. This was after repeated rants like Mel Gibson's when he would go crazy and accuse me of anything and literally foam at the mouth. They are like mad dogs with rabies. They are psychotic and very very dangerous. Often women lose their lives. Leonardo did the right thing.

Re: Mergers – I am right with you Sweetheart. I too went through the same thing. I had a baby in my arms and was beaten. I was also seven preg. and he was hitting on me. Right after I got home from the hospital with a C section, the dirty bastard had me down in the driveway kicking me. It was within two weeks of giving birth. The Good Lord knew that I didn't have anywhere to go and no way to get there, so He stepped in and the SOB was taken out of my life. When he passed away, I remember looking in his coffin and looking at those hands that use to beat me and I thought right then, those hands will never hit me again.
Little did I know that I found out that he was hitting our child, but I found out after he was gone. Abuse is a terrible thing and nobody really understands until they have gone through it themselves. It seems like it is almost always the same pattern. You know what is coming next by their pattern.
