David Archuleta's Album Gets Pushed Back

Uh, oh!
After a weak debut with his first single "Something 'Bout Love" last week, David Archuleta's upcoming album The Other Side Down has been pushed back from a September release to October.
His website reads:
"We’d like you all to be the first to know that the release date for The Other Side of Down has changed. It will now be coming on October 5th. Like the last time we dealt with a date change, this one is definitely for the best. David would like to make sure he’s delivering the best possible album and he needs just a little more time to do it."

these things r like movies now thought…..they have a relaase date before they r even finished…y rush a product thats not done. hell, even movies that havent filmed yet already have release dates for next summer!!

Of course the sinle's debut'd be weak without promo and it's not even added to radio yet. It's not the same situation as Crush's debut so just be patient and it'll climb steadily up the chart after it's add date on Aug 2. Love Something ’bout love, it's sounds great and will do well and I'm ok with the album coming out later I will buy it anyways.
I adore Something 'Bout Love, "weak start" or not. I'd love to have the album now, but I'm thinking it's going to be well worth the wait.

You sure haven't been keeping up with the Archuleta, Something Bout Love hasn't debuted, the debut date and radio adds are scheduled to start 8/2. It broke into the hot 100 without any promo or radio adds. Looking very good to me, especially with the video all ready to go.

I heard that Perez is not writing on this website any more and hired someone to maintain it. Perez used to put up only good news about Archuleta, but this current website manager obviously hates him. The debut single sale (21000) is not bad compared to other idols. Kris Allen debut single sold 15000 copies for LLWD, Adam Lambert sold 18000 for For Your Entertainment right after Idol season 8 and only 11000 for WWFM. LLWD and WWFM sold about 1.5 million copies so far. Something 'Bout Love was released on itunes even before radio release. Next week, it will be released on the radio. The song is a DOPE!! Sure Hit!!

So question is why Jive released the song on iTunes before the public audiences have a chance to listen on the radio.
tons of albums get pushed back…it doesnt always mean its a bad thing. the first release date is just what they would like it to be done by,…but if its not ready then you gotta push the date back..makes sense.
and i mean i wouldnt be surprised if the single had a weak start…theres been no promo at all. i didnt even know he was putting new music out.
