Obama Helps The View Break Ratings Record!
Thursday's episode of The View with President Barack Obama drew the biggest ratings EVER in the history of the daytime talk show.
Despite disapproval of his appearance from some critics, the episode was watched by 6.6 million viewers.
President of Daytime Television for Disney/ABC Brian Frons said:
"It was wonderful to have Barbara Walters back for the interview with President Barack Obama, her first interview since her heart surgery, and together all five co-hosts did what they do best, ask the questions that are on our viewers’ minds.”
Perhaps viewers were waiting for Elizabitch Hasselbeck to open up her big mouth and embarrass herself in front of the President??

I don't love everything that Elizabeth has to say, but I do appreciate that she can hold her own opinions and ask her own questions. That show would be super boring without her because everyone else seems to share the same perspective.
When Elisabeth opens her mouth she offers educated, useful topics/info to the convo on the panel. You however Perez don't. I have yet to understand what you have against her. She's never embarrassed herself on the View and did well while Obama was on. Compared to Joy who gazed at him all starry eyed the entire time, embarrassing, YES! The time to "get to know your President" is PRIOR to voting for him! You don't wait until you have already voted him into office! I just wonder what else he could have done with that hour plus travel time of several more hours, cost of fuel for Air Force One and the Cost to the city for the extra police protection needed to watch over him while he was there! Being on the View is NOT what our President should spend his time doing! He is not a celebrity that needs to be on a talk show to "chat" and discuss pop culture. He is the leader of our nation and he needs to act like one!

He can't slip up when he reads everything off of his teleprompter! lol He hasn't had an original thought since his campaign started! He depends on his speech writers to tell him what to think and say! He just parrots that same stuff in interviews. Also, it easy to TALK about what you are doing versus actually doing anything. I grew up being told that "talk is cheap" and the President certainly doesn't take any real action!

Actually, Bush's ratings, in his second year, were about 20% greater than Obama's ratings are currently. It wasn't until the end of his 2nd term that his ratings dropped so low. It took 4 years for Bush's rating to get as low as Obama's are right now!

Regarding Snookie, he may not have lied. You must remember that he hasn't ever had an original thought. He uses his teleprompter to read what his speech writers tell him to, so he probably doesn't even know that he mentioned Snookie in May! lol
The ratings boost was likely from nothing more than curiosity. Most of us were interested to see if Obama would say ANYTHING that mattered. I don't think he had any business being on a talk show anyway! He has FAR more important issues to deal with!
