Lady GaGa is gracing the cover of September's Vanity Fair - looking absolutely stunning, and the pop star gives possibly one of the most fascinating, candid interviews YET regarding her troubled past, sexuality, and rise to success!

On sex:

“I have this weird thing that if I sleep with someone they’re going to take my creativity from me through my vagina. I’m perpetually lonely. I’m lonely when I’m in relationships. It’s my condition as an artist. I’m drawn to bad romances. And my song [Bad Romance] is about whether I go after those [sort of relationships] or if they find me. I’m quite celibate now; I don’t really get time to meet anyone.”

On her lowest point, and subsequent recovery:

“I was laying in my bed on my stomach—this is so sick—but I was eating a salad, and I got a phone call: Can you be at this restaurant in 30 minutes? So-and-so big record executive wants to meet you. And the salad was like a really unhealthy salad, it was like fried chicken or something. So I said, ‘I’ll be right there.’ I got up, went to the bathroom, threw up the salad, did a line of coke, went to the meeting. I was completely mental and had just been through so much. I do not want my fans to ever emulate that or be that way. I don’t want my fans to think they have to be that way to be great. It’s in the past. It was a low point, and it led to disaster. All I will say is I hit rock bottom, and it was enough to send a person over the edge. My mother knew the truth about that day, and she screamed so loud on the other end of the phone, I’ll never forget it. And she said, ‘I’m coming to get you.’ And I remember laying on the pullout bed in the basement in my parents’ house, and I said to my mom, ‘Can we go see Grandma?’ And we didn’t even call her; the next morning we got on the plane to West Virginia, showed up at the house, and I told my [82-year-old] grandma everything. I cried. I told her I thought my life was over and I have no hope and I’ve worked so hard, and I knew I was good. What would I do now? And she said, ‘I’m gonna let you cry for a few more hours. And then after those few hours are up, you’re gonna stop crying, you’re gonna pick yourself up, you’re gonna go back to New York, and you’re gonna kick some ass.’"

On the Yankees game scandal:

“Well, I guess I was my true New York 24-year-old Italian girl who grew up here and how dare you set me up? I want to go to things like ball games, but when I go to the ball game, they’re going to write the story that will sell papers. Look, I’m not an idiot—I recognize that I’m a public figure and I’m going to be recognized if I’m wearing a bikini or a potato sack. The trade-off is I get to see the Yankees, and what the Yankees mean to me in my soul as a young person from New York is more important to me than my reputation in terms of the tabloids. My real fans know who I truly am, and they know what I represent and what I mean, and my music and my performance is what really speaks.”

On her success:

“About two weeks ago, I literally realized what had happened in my life. I almost wish it hadn’t hit me so late. I wish it had hit me gradually. It was insane … I thought, How could I possibly be better for you? That’s all I keep thinking: I just want to be better for you. I want to say and sing the right things for you, and I want to make that one melody that really saves your spirit that one day.”

Look how far you've come!

P.S. You're grandma sounds badass!

Thoughts??

as an artist….hahahahah this chick s full of herself…its kind of sad at this point…oh and nice photoshop job

  2. 102

Her interviews really bring the lols to me sometimes, mainly because I never really take anything she says seriously. When you read it it's like 'wtf' but when you hear her speak she sounds so tongue-in-cheek. On a positive note, that photo is gorgeous!

  3. 103

she has a bf but shes celibate? how does that work? or does she mean that they do everything but sex?
i love her, love the gray hair
not loving this shoot or the contradictions

  4. 104

Wow im too unfocused to read all that right now. But I saw more photos from the shoot, and it is wonderful! Haters gon hate, gaters gon gate, taters gon tate, waiters gonna wait, etc.

  5. 105

I'll read all of that later, but I just have to say bitch looks amazing. GET IT, STEF!

  6. 106

TL;DR. THAT WHOLE VANITY FAIR SHOOT WAS FLAWLESS, AMAZING, ETC. SHAKING AND CRYING. WERQ THAT GREY HAIR, GAGA.

I will never get over how much I love the gray hair. But I wish she'd stop talking sometimes, it kinda ruins her for me. But she makes it up by doing other sweet things for people, so she's ok with me. Love that photo! :)

  8. 108

I want that nude photo of hers as a poster up on my wall, right now.

  9. 109

…that is a pretty girl. …want to see her with natural brunette hair. …will wait patiently.

  10. 110

ok, to many she does try really hard, and I love GaGa, but I think that is what makes her so good, is that she has the desperate, insecure, and kind of weird, the way everyone feels at some point in their life vibe going on, and yes, Perez you are a hypocrite about the cocaine thing, but I am glad she is not like all of the other celebs who act like they never did it, as for people thinking she is going away, only time will tell, they called Madonna a flash in the pan as well, yet she is 50 something selling out arenas all over the world to people half her age, so we will see !

  11. 111

her music is getting old….i thought u hate coke heads……. i guess u became one huh.

  12. 112

Re: Shannon92 – that's why she reminds me of Megan faux so much. They're twins in personality. Desperate for attention, talking nonsense in interviews. Only difference is one has had lots of plastic surgery and the other needs it!

  13. 113

I really like Lady Gaga, but talk about selective reporting and painting your friend in a positive light. I'm happy that you call out other stars for cocaine use, but you failed to mention that she is also quoted as saying that she continues to occasionally use cocaine. I am really bothered by how mainstream coke use seems to be becoming and how casually celebs publicize that they do it - regardless of whatever warnings/caveats stars may give, I'm sure it does still influence many out there.

  14. 114

I LOVE HER! She's so inspirational. Im counting down the days until i can hold this article in my hands

  15. 115

    your*

  16. 116

    COKE WHOREEEE!!
she is saying she used coke! ehy u are not attacking her or drawing some white dots up on her nose??????
    AIRBRUSH!!!
WHY u are not saying this looks extremely fake????????

WHY u are not doing a big deal of this??????

    WHYYY??
    WHYYY??
    WHYYY??
    WHYYY??
    WHYYY??
    WHYYY??
    WHYYY??

  17. 117

the pic is hardly photoshopped at all, she's petite and pretty damn toned/fit so maybe just a more even overall tone blending with the colours. Get over it guys and stop being so jealous. she's gorgeous. people who don't like her don't understand her, and it's a shame, i can't get what's not to like!

    Re: Christik
Her most recent album, excluding The Remix and The Cherrytree Sessions, was The Fame Monster, which came out on November 18, 2009. That seems more like 9 months than 2 years, my dear silly goose.
