Idol Auditions Without Idol Judges???

| Filed under: TV NewsAmerican IdolRyan Seacrest

Thousands upon thousands of hopeful singers flocked to East Rutherford, NJ this afternoon to audition for American Idol.

Just to give you a frame of reference, that's about 2 hours north of Seaside Heights, where Snooki is currently sucking on a pickle and giving the po-po the stank eye. (most likely…)

Anyway, we find it very interesting that auditions have already begun for the new Idol season, considering that at the moment, they don't have any judges!!!

So who, may we ask, are these hopefuls all auditioning too???

Well, Ryan Seacrest was there, but the only helpful information he could muster was that it will probably be weeks before any of us know anything about who's going to judge!

Weeks? WEEKS?

Again we ask - who are these musically inclined guidos and mall rats singing to right now???

They are auditioning to producers and assistant producers right now. These are just the preliminary rounds right now and those who make it to the judges are asked to come back in a couple weeks.

If you actually knew anything about Idol you'd know they do this EVERY year. What do you think Simon and crew sit through 15 or 20 thousand auditions? They get weeded down to the best and the weirdest and then usually in September the judges see what is left. Really Hilton learn what your talking about.

Oh my God, you are so stupid! Do you honestly think that Paula and Simon and Randy sat through EVERY person that ever tried out for Idol? Do you know how many days that would take??? The only people they saw were the ones that were selected by other staff members of the show in pre-auditions. I am sorry to burst your bubble, but most people who try out for Idol do not get to go in front of the celebrity panel.

Do your research Perez. You fucking suck ass. And no Idol will never hire you.

don't you claim to know a lot about the music industry and you don't even know that the audition process takes weeks, if not months to complete? The "judges" don't see any of the contestants until the final round. You are so stupid

  6. 6

NOT SINGING TO PEREZ THAT'S FOR SURE. WUT A LOSER. DONT EXPECT A CALL FAT BOY!!

"musically inclined guidos and mall rats"

really perez? try east rutherford is 10 minutes away from NYC and there are no other auditions in this area. i have a feeling there may be a few more people attending than "guidos and mall rats." new jersey is NOT like jersey shore or a kevin smith film, moron.

  8. 8

well in germany there are preauditions those auditions are infront of the shows producers and other staff members this is the part where they sort out the really good and bad and only those who survived that round will be able to audition in front of the real judges … so i guess its the same why in the U.S

  9. 9

this show has jumped the shark and its only gona get worse can't wait to see the downfall!

  10. 10

You really think ALL those people who audition see the actual judges? They go through about three auditions with producers first, so that they can pick out the best and worst for TV. That's why the people who are truly awful have such a hard time believing it, because they've "passed" multiple auditions before they make it to the TV judges.

just because its in jersey doesn't mean its all jersey kids or just guidos. there isn't on in the city (manhattan for those of you not from ny) so people from new york have to go there. from long island i don't even personally know anyone that has a "guido" appearance.

  12. 12

um not all people from the tri state area are guidos and mall rats…

  13. 13

wow ok and you want to be a judge on this show that you obviously have no clue about

This is the problem with the world today.. No one researches anything.. You can't just go thru life assuming you know what is going on. God you are such a fucking moron! No wonder you are single.

How is it that you say you're the "Queen of all Media" and you don't know how American Idol, (or any other Idol for that matter) auditions work after 10 seasons?

Do you really think the judges watch the 15000 people that show up to the auditions? Do you even KNOW how a cattle call works?

    GET OUT OF HOLLYWOOD

  16. 16

I'm glad at least the people commenting on here know that the judges don't sit through everyone who auditions! And like some of you mentioned, not everyone from Jersey is a guido or a mall rat. In fact, I live in Jersey and I know zero guidos.

Kanye West is a PERFECT candidate for American Idol. Think about it, people.

This is what happens every year, I'm about 20 mins South of Milwaukee (and it's auditioning TO not TOO, too means as well/also and techincally it's auditioning FOR) and when they were here last month they made a point of saying that it was only for producers and the judges would be back in a "couple of months" to make the choices. Please do your research (and a grammar check) before posting

  19. 19

Ummm. Learn some basic spelling. " …who are these hopefuls all auditioning too?" Should be TO and not TOO.

  20. 20

I was there with my fiance and they are auditioning to producers constantine showed up and ryan was there to do his shots for idol and then left… nothing like it was on tv
