Hmm, it was actually better than I'd expected. I'm still confused what she intends to do with this though…does she thinks people are going to buy her music?? I've never found Cho particularly funny. She's one of those comedians who makes a joke and then pauses for two minutes waiting for people to laugh. Which automatically makes it not funny.

love her and love the anna sui. brilliant stylist.

This is actually her second single. "I Cho Am a Woman," which was her parody of the modern female pop star, is really good!

First, not her first single, it's her third, after "Cho I'm a Woman" and "My Lil' Wayne".

Second, it's just as horrible as the first two. At least the lyrics in this one are slightly more clever, but she has a horribly average (at best) singing voice. She was lucky enough to surround herself with incredibly talented musicians who all sing and play on the album, making the music far better than the lyrics or vocals, and basically carrying her.

Re: papatoony – That's not really accurate. I've seen Margaret live twice and seen all five of her live concert DVDs, I've never seen her do that once. She tells a joke, the audience starts laughing uncontrollably, and then she waits for them to FINISH laughing. She doesn't just say something and then stand there waiting for them to crack up.

That being said, the album is supposed to be a serious album with a comedic twist. It's called Cho Dependent, go to margaretcho.com it's downloadable for $8. But it really, really is terrible.

That video was hysterical! I've always liked Margaret Cho and thought she was pretty funny. And hey, she doesn't sing too bad either. Better than Britney!

    Love it!

Who knew she had such a lovely singing voice? Who knew?

There's a bad double standard happening here. Domestic violence isn't funny. Would you all be laughing your head off if Mel Gibson had sung this over the phone to Oksana ? As a parody or satire this is just kind of thin, and lame. Do better Margaret Cho, I know you can.

    Not bad!

Love it. Sick yet cool. Nice voice as well

.."I'm Sorry, is just like her - sweet and funny." Sweet? Some people think apple cider vinegar is sweet, so OK, I guess so. To me, this was very not funny and contrived. She reminds me of Roseanne. Same cynicism. Same delivery.

she is just never funny. she has more of a reputation for being funny than actual talent. Yeah, she's like sarah silverman that way.

It's kinda funny but SWEET? Who really writes this blog anyway? I keep hearing it's Perez' sister? Whoever it is…the intelligence factor is seriously lacking these days. SWEET? HUH?

    I usually adore Margaret Cho….

    but this kinda sucks :(

Her voice is pretty decent, but the lyrics are kind of generic. Sounds like the stuff me and my friends come up with when we're drunk. Pretty funny at the time but I wouldnt waste money on production :)

umm its all kinds of amazing… way to go cho:)

WOW, Cho is sure worth something, apart from her solely-timely comedic routines. This is another achievement to notch on her Jesus Stick.

She sounds great, and i thoroughly enjoyed this Country inspired song, two reasons why: she sounds great, and it's so not like her usual persona to DO COUNTRY!

    that was AWESOMWE!!!

  20. 20

sucks just as bad as her "comedy".

  21. 21

I think she should duet with Scarlett Johansson!!
