Avenged Sevenfold Defeats Eminem

All hail the new Billboard leader: Avenged Sevenfold!

After five weeks at the #1 spot, Eminem’s album Recovery was beaten by rock band Avenged Sevenfold’s new release Nightmare.

It was a close call though, with Eminem coming in less than 4,000 units behind Avenged on Nielsen Soundscan charts.

Will the nightmare continue next week, or will Eminem be able to make another recovery?

Very cool to see a rock band make its way to the top of the charts.

      Yes! They totally deserve this! I cant imagine what it was like for them to go back in the studio with out their best friend and drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, but they did, and the album is amazing.

      A7X is one of my favorite bands. I have seen them so many times and I never tire of seeing them. It has been a hard year not only for the band but all the true fans. We have been feeling the loss of The Rev and this album means so much to all of us. Thank you Perez for acknowledging this band.

Eminem is talked about way to much and not enough attention is paid to AMAZINGLY talented and underrated bands.       I'm a huge, huge A7X fan and to hear last night on the radio that they were #1 on the charts is great and now that you post this is awesome. The new record is great and very dark. It's great since this record was almost not made since they lost The Rev. They are a great band and its good to know that they are being recognized for making a great music. A7X foREver!       Omg hell yeah! Nightmare is an amazing cd and Avenged Sevenfold always puts so much into their music and creating albums they give it their all theyre passionate about their art which makes us fans just as passionate about the awesome music they make so this is well deserved. Lets keep Nightmare #1!!!! at least for another 2 weeks haha and thank you so much Perez for posting this its awesome.
