But when as many people are fist pumping to the Jersey Shore as they are sucking in True Blood, you have to wonder what that says about all of us!
The final numbers are in and it looks like True Blood actually beat out Jersey Shore in the ratings.
True Blood drew in it's biggest audience this season with 5.2 million viewers on Sunday. You'll recall that the guidettes of Jersey pulled in similar numbers last Thursday for their premiere.
Only difference is Jersey Shore is on basic cable, while True Blood is on HBO.
So over 5 million people regularly shell out to watch their favorite vamps, while Jersey's audience probably let it play in the background while they played flip cup.
Still, no one can argue they both are in demand!
