Tom Cruise Gets A Cut!

A salary cut!

Paramount has supposedly lost so much faith in Tom Cruise that they cut half of Mission: Impossible 4's expected $135 million production budget!

Cruise is also rumored to have agreed to be paid "scale", taking nearly no salary up front and paid only after the studio makes money on the movie!

Not good, Tommy boy! We think it has to do with Knight and Day's abysmal showing at the box office.

Is Hollywood finished with Tom Cruise?

That was really too bad about Knight and Day. It was a truly fun movie!

  2. 2

You can't be number one for ever, especially in Hollywood. TC has ridden the wave for years and now he has to move over gracefully. His heart throb status went down the toilet of few years back. Time to let go there Tommy boy!

  3. 3

Like I believe anything your fat ass says. You're just a tabloid. Actually you're worse because you actually beleive that people buy what you say is the truth. You're a sad, sad fat ass queen.

    I think this is crazy
I still Love Tom Cruise and his movie Knight and Day it was fun

The bad rap this guy has gotten makes me sick. He seems like one of the most pleasant and nicest guys in Hollywood. So what if he was acting a little squirrelly a while back. I don't think his career will ever recover because people have gotten so weirded out about wanting to tear people down over the most insignificant stupid little things.

  6. 6

Hollywood should have been finished with this dud yeeears ago, after the whole couch jumping thing… He's another Mel Gibson, they both should just go away and never come back.

  7. 7

Crazy, Sure. But Damn– he looks good. What is he 47. 48?

  8. 8

    botox?

  9. 9

Was there a mission impossible 3?

  10. 10

I don't care much for him, but I must say I'd really like the name of his plastic surgeon! Wow - great Work.

Not, however, his hairdresser. Why is he doing the mini-Mullet? People, PLEASE, no Early 80's Reloaded - it was an ugly time with Big, Bad Hair, too much eyeliner and Guess? jeans. I can't take the PTFSD (Fashion) flashbacks.

  11. 11

I won't support him or his movies because he seems entirely too full of himself. Not to mention that he's also batshit crazy between the Oprah debacle and his involvement with Scientology. When your career goes in the toilet Tom be sure to blame the aliens.

  12. 12

Women shrivel up like prunes and men become waxy and smelly looking looking like Tom.

  13. 13

get real!! He is a great actor and always will be, thats what great movies are all about…the acting!

  14. 14

i thought knight & day was horrible.
maybe it could be a good idea to go for back end on mi4 considering that jj abrahms is involved.
sometimes you just have to say 'what the fuck'.

  15. 15

He's probably an alright guy,but he just went way OTT. Preaching, preaching and more preaching and was trying WAY too hard to overshadow Brad Pitt.Remember the Katy Holmes 'couch routine' happened the same time as Brad was starting up with whats her face. He just seems so ANAL!

Sure lil' Tommy Cruise is a screeching pillow-biter and a closet queen …..and a batshitcrazy Scientologist, but that movie 'Knight & Day' was a lot of fun!

  18. 18

He has more money than he or his family will need in a lifetime. He should take solid roles in smaller films (like "Magnolia"—he was excellent in that).

  19. 19

First off, Tom Cruise cannot act–in every movie he plays himself (the same character over and over again).
Second, I really wish he believed in psychology, because he needs some help…something is not clicking with his overt control issues, grandeur ego, and mania. He definitely has issues to work through.
Third, I don't know anyone who likes Tom Cruise anymore nor who would go see a movie based on him starring in it. In fact, he actually turns off people from wanting to see a movie.
Fourth, the whole Katie Holmes-Tom Cruise thing is a car wreck, one cannot help but stare at. No one envies her–they pity her. Does she have any friends? Such a lonely life she is now trapped in.

Knight and Day was a good movie. I loved it. It has been a long time since a rollicking movie like that was around. What are they talking about. But time moves on.

  21. 21

The days of the bloated salaries for actors is coming to an end as is shown here. They are grossly overpaid for the few weeks of work they put in making a movie.

  22. 22

Well, at least he still LOOKS good… even if he is a bit crazy

  23. 23

Tom is no longer marketable in the U.S., and Katie needs to be "saved" and extricated from that environment if she wants any level of redemption in the public eye.
I'm guessing that Perez doesn't allow links because I posted a comment with a link to an interview with Chris Rock and Joshua Jackson. Perez had run a story about power freak Cruise keeping Katie away from Josh at an award show a couple of months ago. Gossip Cop said it was not true (because Tom's camp denied that anything special had been done for him).
If you have 4 minutes, check out this vid during which Chris Rock confirms what a freak Tom is.

Sorry Perez won't allow the link.

Go to YouTube and this is the vid:Joshua Jackson on The Graham Norton Show pt 2
If you have a little extra time you should watch the full clips just because Chris and Josh are really funny.

  24. 24

i wish every movie was CGI so we can stop feeding into the egos of these narcissistic freaks in hollywood.

  25. 25

    He's a cock lover.

    Re: GG1000
ooohhh…I know there were fashion issues with the '80s but that's my time and I still love it. Tom should be grateful for those years because pre-cuckoo Tom we had Risky Busines, Top Gun, Rainman, and a few others.
As for "my" generation as we really fall between baby boomers and GenX, we had MTV. 24 hrs of music videos and the OCCASSIONAL show(ie Remote Control). VJs that we loved and such a diverse world of music: I leaned towards Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Triumph, Rainbow(God I could go on), but I could equally tolerate(okay enjoy), punk, early hip hip(Run DMC etc…I still love "Crush Groove"), Prince, Duran Duran, pre-90s non whiny chick rock(Benatar, Jett… on to the Go-Gos and Madonna) There is no group of people outside of us who were in our teens during the early 80s that has ever embraced the musical diversity that really defined us as a very unique group of people. We know who we are(John Cusack, Brat Pack, Adam Sandler). After all; the '80s were the "me" decade …although I think we had a lot more heart/growing pains than we've generally seen from kids on tv/movies for the last 2 decades.
back on topic: Tom sucks. I can't stand Katie, but she still gets Joey points from me since DC was one of the few shows that did reflect social diversity(I know not racial or ethnic) and teenage emotion and pain.

No wonder no one wants to see this arrogant little prick anymore. Everyone knows that if they go to see Cruise they are supporting his Criminally convicted cult.

  28. 28

Even at scale, he's being paid too much. This franchise needs to end.

  29. 29

knight and day was AMAZINGLY AWESOME

  30. 30

The only creature lusting after Tommy Ass is Satan.

  31. 31

    EVERYONE IS TAKING PAY CUTS…HELLO????????

  32. 32

I still think Tom is great! And I admire anyone who has enough confidence to get through a day when there are so many spiteful haters. I though Knight And Day was a really fun film!

  33. 33

Is it my imagination or does he look like he had hair transplants?

  34. 34

Hope they're not finished with him. Think what you want about him, but I still thinks he's pretty brilliant.

  35. 35

Cruise needs to either win an Oscar or have a near death experience or something to get his box office back—poor guy! Anyway, with cuts like that he can write it off—Cruise his smart—he'll have a low tax next year.

  36. 36

nothing brilliant, new or remotely interesting left with this hollow, self absorbed person. he skates with the 'holier than art' crowd and who could honestly care about him or his spoiled wife? His movies are boring and he is a has been passa actor who, by the way doesn't even act anymore, he just keeps playing himself. I say good riddance, finally, so sick of seeing him trying to Star in a movie. YOU ARE DONE TOM, NO ON LIKES YOU AND YOU ARE OLD, BYE.

  37. 37

oh yes please….let's pray for a tom cruise retirement!

  38. 38

This guy is responsible for hurting many many people through his work with Scientology. He deserves to have everything he's been given be taken away.

  39. 39

Interesting that Knight and Day has actually be quite well received here in the UK, where the critics have decided that it is actually a comedy and are giggling accordingly. Tom Cruise killed his career with the whole Scientology thing tbh, but he's done pretty damn well to have such a massively long and varied career anyway!
