The numbers are in and the big question is finally answered... Well, kind of!
Was The Interview a success?
So, how much, exactly, did it make for Sony?
We have a better question: Why is there going to be a Valentine's Day sequel?
But Hollywood is obsesssed with ensemble rom-coms, so we guess there is nothing to be done to stop it. At least they are being smart about casting!
Sources who are close to the project say that none of the original cast members are being invited back for the flick, with the exception of Hector Elizondo and Taylor Swift. The execs are hoping that she'll come back and reprise her character, who is now enrolled at NYU.
But what about Taylor Lautner? Will he be back as her beefy BF?
Sadly, the consensus is "no." Tay Tay just has too much stuff going on right now to fit in doing a mediorce movie like this.
Sad! We were really hoping for a Taylor-Squared reunion!
P.S. - The name of the sequel to Valentine's Day is New Years Eve. How many holidays do you think Garry Marshall will get through before he finally takes pity on us and stops?
