I was there and the show was FAN-TAS-TIC from beginning to end. Those who hate are jealous of the talent, accomplishment (and recognition) of each singer/actor who gave 110%. It was great!!!

She does a tremendous job singing it, but it's musical theater, not just music, and she brought no character or personality or ACTING to the role. She was just a hot chick in leather singing about how hot she was, her interaction with Tracie was totally unconvincing.
Nicole S. was incredible. Her voice was soooo great!!! The BEST Maureen to date. She made Vanessa H. look AMATEUR imo. I was there and I really think Vanessa was miscast. She just doesn't have the acting ability to play a jaded, drugged out, tough girl. Like one reviewer wrote, she was comparable to a 7 year old imitating Beyonce singing "single ladies". I really hope there were casting agents out there that noticed Nicole's huge talent.

And with the exception of a few "Professional reviews" she seemed to have pleased the audience. Fact is that people hated her for the cast since the get go and they haven't gotten past it. Nicole sounds great no one will ever compare to Idina of course and her sassiness not to mention her acting is wonderful but I think Nicole did good she can wail! She's definitely a lot better than the chick who played "Mimi" I can't help but cringe when I hear clips of her performing.

OK Idinia fans calm down. I like Menzel as well but Nicole was incredible. Her Over the Moon was funny as hell, the best version of it i have EVER seen. Whoever said her voice is to deep and husky for Broadway then you need to learn about Broadway. She has a perfect Broadway belt. Her acting is also great in the role. All the critics are saying she was outstanding. So yes Idina was great but Nicole was just as good if not better. Tracy was spot on as usual (she was great on Broadway in the role as well).
VH was OK, Her Out Tonight was dire but she did well during the rest of the show. Shes a bit inexperienced but she was not a disaster at all. I think people are going to kick her down what ever she does. Im not a fan of hers (ive never seen HSM and have no desire to) but she should be given credit for taking on the role and trying something new. With a few vocal lessons she could be great. It was also great to see a young girl in that role (Mimi is supposed to be 19) normally the girls playing her are much older.

I saw Sunday nights performance and it was SOOO much better live! OMG….Nicole killed it and Tracie Thoms held her own in that duet! It was an amazing production. NPH did a wonderful job. This clip doesn't do it justice!
