Russell Brand was kind enough to tweet this HIGHlarious photo from the set of his remake of Arthur in the middle of what appears to be QUITE the bath time with Dame Helen Mirren!
This is certainly not the Arthur that we remember, but it looks like it has potential!

Him being a "former" sex addict I can tell he is enjoying this all too much LOL poor lady.
What an awful movie to remake. Glorifying a drunk? The movie was cringeworthy, mainly because the stupid character Liza Minelli made.
To make it as successful as the original they need to make the remake a little different, like Harald Zwart did with Karate Kid 2010. I can imagine Helen Mirren and Russel Brand together in embarrassingly funny situations. I think I want to see this movie.
Not the Arthur you remember? The bath scene was in the first ten minutes of the movie, Jackass.

It might be a BIT funny, but there NO WAY IN HELL this movie will be nearly as funny as the original. No one could deliver those lines like Dudley Moore.

I just re-watched the original last week - I think Russell was BORN to play Dudley's part!
This is clearly a reference to a comment made by Russell about being attracted to Helen Mirren in a wierd way- as in he'd like her to give him a bath. If you don't get it you really don't deserve Russell's humor-Helen gets it. I'll watch anything he's in, the guy's a fricken superstar. He's my exactly perfect comedian. Not a fan of anything but think he's the cats pyjamas. And his body is that of a healthy natural man that takes care of himself without caring too much about societies (abnormal) norms. I like 'im.
