No Snoop Dogg In The True Blood House!

The man wrote a song about Sookie Stackhouse. We don't think it gets any more dedicated to a cause than that!

The stars of True Blood were recently asked if they thought creator Alan Ball would let Snoop Dogg have a guest spot on the show. It seems like the answer is a resounding "no," since they don't believe Alan would want to stunt cast.

Sam Trammell told a crowd at a UK convention:

"Apparently Snoop has wanted to be on the show from the beginning, but I don’t think [creator] Alan Ball is going to let that happen. Having such a high-profile person appear in the show, I think it would take us all out of Bon Temps. [Alan] doesn't need to cast Snoop Dogg to get people to watch."

Hmm, good point, but here's ours: no one will care! It's not like if, oh just as an example, Britney Spears were to show up on an episode of Glee. We think that would be stunt casting. (Which we are all for, BTW.)

But Snoop? Nah! We think he has a bit of acting talent about him and he is just such a huge fan. We think Alan should make room for him.

Do U?

He would make a good background wolf… But I think I'd have to say "no" aswell

    2. 2

I'm all for it!!! Why couldn't he saunter into Merlotte's for a beer and make eyes at Lafayette or chit-chat with Jessica as she seats him?

    3. 3

Let Snoop have a gay sex scene with Layfette. That I would watch.

    4. 4

Sorry Snoop, the black folks quota has been met on that show.

    5. 5

No, I do not agree has acting talent. Snoop is Snoop. He is not able to get away from it because he is not a good actor. I agree with Alan Ball, Snoop would not be able to act his way out of being Snoop and being a character of True Blood that was actually part of the cast and story. He would just be Snoop appearing on True Blood.

No fucking way. I love Glee and all, but True Blood in no way needs stunt casting. If there was a part he was natural for, that didn't amount to stunt casting, then maybe…but that wouldn't happen with Snoop most likely. Besides, True Blood fans are intense, and the cast is large enough as is.

i think snoop would make an awesome guest appearence. i mean its not like he even needs to play himself. if they stuck him in one episode it would be gold.

    8. 8

      MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!

Snoop has acting chops, he was in Training Day, Bones, The Bernie Mac Show, Monk etc…

    9. 9

Seriously? After some free publicity was given? Alan Ball-come on dude!

    10. 10

I have a question for everyone. If Perez really is gay, then how come we have never seen him with a boyfriend?????

    11. 11

Snoop was in a movie by Spike Lee called …I think Baby Boy and he was good.
I love to watch him on film. Alan Ball has got to be an idiot.

Re: perez_bringer_of_hate – because he is a hater.

    13. 13

You should run a poll on your site. If enough people vote for Snoop then maybe Alan Ball will change his mind.

PS - I'd LOVE to see Britney on Glee!!!

    14. 14

No No NO! No celebrity walk-ons… not that I have anything against Snoop.. I just don't want the show to become a "which celebrity will guest star this week" kinda show…. it's fucking lame.

    15. 15

YES!! Snoop would make a bad-ass vampire!

    16. 16

Bring Snoop in! He would make a bad ass vampire!!

    17. 17

Nope, don't want Snoop near Bon Temp.

    18. 18

Re: perez_bringer_of_hate – because no gay man is that desperate.

    19. 19

I think it would be freakin awesome if he stopped by Merlottes!

    20. 20

I love what Snoop did, but I'm really happy he's not going to be on the show. I've read the books and they already changed a lot of things on the show. If snoop was on the show, it would definately ruin it for me.

    21. 21

noway keep celebs off true blood

    22. 22

Uhm, where the fuck have you been td perez? GODNEY is set to appear on Glee.. it ain't a MAYBE, Ryan Murphy confirmed it td, and every site on the web has picked up the story

    23. 23

Come on get snoop to play "live" that country song he has, somewhere in that hillbillville! I love snoop, I'd watch

    24. 24

      No thankssssss

    25. 25

celebrity walk ins on true blood is a really really BAD idea!

    26. 26

      Re: party
I loved the video/rap he made about Sookie ! Hi Larious…
but unless they could work him into tru blood without changing his whole…persona… i dont think itd be a good idea. Lafayette and Sook R the only characters i could see him having on-screen chemistry with.

    28. 28

Alan Ball I know you read comments! Snoop could play Kenya's boyfriend, a shifter bit part, or say one of Layfayette's distant cousins possibly?

    29. 29

No. I like Snoop he's actually a pretty good actor nothing amazing but good enough to do guest spots on tv shows and such but i don't think he'd be right for True Blood. True Blood isn't Glee, i love Glee its amazing but its an easier show to have celeb guests on, although i did think that one or two of the specially themed shows were starting to get a bit quite annoying and very cheesey. the Madonna episode was brilliant, i loved the lady gaga one until rachel and her mum sang poker face (IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SHOW TUNE) i'm loving the sound of a Rocky Horror Picture Show special that will be amazing but i don't like the sound of more person specific themed episode

NO no Nooooooooooooooo. Please, I created a login name on perehilton.com just to say this. Please please please do not ruin my favorite show ever with a "stunt appearance" by anybody. PLEASE I am begging you. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEREZ that you do not think this will take us out of the show? It absolutely will. It hurts my heart just thinking about it. Alan Ball if you have a heart you will not do this to us. Please, it is such a good show. Don't ruini it.

    31. 31

Who says he has to act???? Why can't he just be an extra in the background walking by? Nothing wrong with that Besides, I think he just wants to be a part of a show he likes, and I don't think he's expecting a huge role. He's just a fan like the rest of us.

    32. 32

No.. there's really no point. There's so many storylines going on right now, they don't really need to add Snoop into the mix. Not that I don't like Snoop, I think he's cool but I don't think he's right for this. I'm a huge fan of the show too but that doesn't mean they'll put me on it!

    33. 33

If Alan Ball cast f'ing SNOOP DAWG (who would name themselves that anyway) into my favorite show, it would reek of a 'sell out' marketing ploy and I would simply stop watching the show for good. Free up an hour of my Sundays. Also, Perez, you big homo, if you side with Aniston that single parent households are a prefered option because women don't need men anymore to balance a child's upbringing, then you need a reality check. As the culture dissentegrates into oblivian, as the burn begins people like you will ball their ignorant eyes out as to why the world is sooo shitty now, guess what, it is the product of your liberal push.

    35. 35

nope. the cast it good the way it is. bringing in a rapper will only take away from the show. Alan has done an amazing job casting for his show, and the not so big actors and actresses he's been casting have worked out perfectly. true blood doesn't need snoop, i'm pretty sure he needs true blood though.

    36. 36

just have him not playing himself if theyre worried about 'realism'

Snoop is trying to hit that ball anyway, lol. In spite of them shooting to stay true to the show's vision, I could see a dark and menacing vampiracal guest stint from Snoop garnering surprise accolades. He has a deeper scary side, I think.
