England Team Doesn't Want Beckham!

Apparently he's getting too old!

England soccer coach Fabio Capello says that 35-year-old David Beckham would no longer be picked for the team because of his age.

He says:

"We will all remember some of those great free kicks, some of those great moments that he's been responsible for. I'm sure lots of people will be sad that he's not going to be playing for England again."

AC Milan also announced last week they wouldn't be taking Becks on loan because of his age.

Well he'll just have to stay here in El Lay and play (and keep doing ads in his undies)!

    He is repulsive.

  2. 2

If he can prove fitness then he should sue for discrimination against age.

  3. 3

suppose he should expect that sooner or later - seems to be rule of thumb is once an athlete hits their mid 30's, they should find something else to do………

good keep him away. ive been saying for years england should move on from him. he hasnt done anything for the team in along time.
i now england was great in the world cup, but if they start focusing on the younger players…the team could be killer.

He could still play… He is not in a bad form…
Capello was too fast to count him out…I would keep ( or at least have in a consideration) Beckham a little bit more …

He's not too old for me!!!

everyone knew this was coming when he went with LA galaxy. if he was on top form he would have been given chances in england or the rest of europe but he chose there. there was a little hope when he went to AC milan but then he got injured and everyone knew that was the end for him, well i knew :P

I'd bang him like a screen door in a hurricane, are you kidding me?

No loyalty to their own. The leadership, honed skills and morale Becks would be capable of bringing to an English club might elicit a far bigger payoff for them. Shallow, short term thinking, infused with a spot of bottom line ageism. Their loss.

age is a ridiculous reason to not have him back.. only if he was physically not capable and can't keep up with the other players should he not be picked

  20. 20

oh nooo…please take him back england. we dont want him or his ugly wife here any more. pleeaassseee. pretty please!!!
