JetBlue Diva Was The One That Instigated Rainbow Rage Incident, Say Other Passengers

Uh-oh! Are the tides turning for our beloved JetBlue diva, Steven Slater??

Passengers who were on the plane and witnessed the meltdown are now speaking out against the incident, and claim that what's being perpetuated in the media is not exactly how everything went down!

Marjorie Briskin claims that Slater had a "nice gash" on his head the entire flight from Pittsburgh to JFK, and that they were all ready to depart the plane when the alleged rude passenger merely asked Slater where her bag was stowed, which prompted the tirade of swears!

Briskin says:

"I didn't think she was rude in the least. It really blew my mind. It was so inappropriate. He looked disturbed at that point."

Another passanger, Lauren Dominijanni, reportedly boarded the plane and noticed spilled coffee in her seat. When she asked Slater for a sanitary wipe, he "rolled his eyes at me and said, 'What?' in a real rude manner."

She attempted to explain the coffee, to which he pointed to the gash on his head and said "No! Maybe when we get in the air! I need to take care of myself first, honey!"

We still don't see the problem! We would be hella cranky if we had hurt our heads, too!

These people are just probably telling stories to get some press off of Slater! Ha!

What do U think?? Was the JetBlue diva justified in his reaction or should he be in trouble??

oh boo fucking hoo - it's his job (or was). he can advise people he needs to get himself cleaned up without being a prick……..

  2. 2

The other passengers have not reason to lie. They have nothing to gain. They are telling the truth. This guy is most likely mentally ill.

  3. 3

ur a fuckn idiot. these people who are disputing his story were on the plane with him and are valid witnesses. it's time to drop your hero worship of this guy just because you think what he did was funny. he actually acted extremely irresponsibly considering how important it is for flight attendants to remain calm in stressful situations.

  4. 4

If this is true he's weak. In that industry you have to put others ahead of yourself. Douche.

  5. 5

Well, if he's indeed HIV+ then it is likely the most responsible thing he can do to at least clean it up and not bleed on anyone.

  6. 6

Mario, a gay man could flat out admit to the premeditated murdering of someone and you'd find an excuse for him not to go to jail.

  7. 7

Is it possible he hit his head and got a concussion and that is what is responsible for his behavior? Just a thought.

  8. 8

He is no hero. Stop trying to make him into one. People are so stupid these days.

  9. 9

    Oh boy…
    HMMMMMM….

I hope this guys hissy fit costs him big time.

    11

I'll bet you'd see a problem if he wasn't gay

  12. 12

    Re: boston61 – @ 2- or looking for 15 mins…….more likely than mental instability……….

  13. 13

You're just defending him because he's gay. If all these witnesses came forward to say that he was the instiGAYtor, then it must be true. Wow, thanks for proving once again how much of a hypocrite you can be.

    14

you really suck, you know that right?! or should i say you all suck? i know your head is big enough to be talked about in plural, but do you really need to?

  15. 15

Called it. Whiny crybaby needs to get an attitude adjustment via jail cell. 30 days is probably enough.

  16. 16

Re: CruellaDeVil – You make a very valid point here.

  17. 17

Even though it's his job, I would rather, as a customer, let him tend to his injuries than have him wait on me hand and foot. You could have an ear falling off, and some customers will still be like, "Excuse me, sir…EXCUSE ME!"

  18. 18

  19. 19

If he was acting all diva on the plane to customers that he is supposed to help and support…well, that does change things for me. It's also discerning that he was bleeding, HIV positive and around passengers.

  20. 20

It is common for someone with a head injury to become hostile, maybe that is what happened.

  21. 21

mario, take your gay goggles off and see this for what it was. the guy is mentally unstable and threw a tirade for no reason. there was NO safety reason for him to tell that lady to sit down. they were parked and ready to de-plane. get over your gay love of him.

  22. 22

WE bumped OUR heads??? You sound like a fucking child you fat homo. And, if he had a bump on his head, that does not give him the right to be a douche. It's his job, and if he at any point doesn't have the temperment to handle it, he should have not gone to work. That's the way the real world works, if you show up and are an asshole for personal reasons, you are sent home or fired. Welcome to the real word you fuckin moron.

  23. 23

the only reason you're supporting him is because he is a flamer like you. he was on the clock, and when you're on the clock you CANNOT be rude or ignore customers. he could have said something like "i'll get that right for you," clean his cut and THEN get it. it's not too difficult to have common sense and be courteous at the same time.

  24. 24

Perez STFU youre only deffending him because you did that skit. The guy clearly has mental issues i saw the video of him being arrested and he loved the attention, not to mention he had that "psyco killer" smir look on his face. He's fruitier than a Bowl of fruit loops and he needs to be delt with. Something about him isnt sane, and it's scary to know that people like perez deffend him smh

  25. 25

Fatboy is a hypocrite, he loves to condone bad behavior or inappropriate, ie; lady gaga, snookie and this nut. except when it effects him or his gay agenda.

  26. 26

Wow - some people will do anything to be in the spot light - so he was injured upon boarding? since when? This tale stinks from the sheer smell of mendacity.

  27. 27

Re: check the facts you twits – @ 6 - aint that the truth

  28. 28

From the moment I first heard this story, I did not consider this man a hero. Over-the-top, unnecessary and hysterical is what I thought from the beginning. I have flown numerous times and have encountered both rude and considerate attendants … each person was as individual as the customers they encounter each day. The best attendants are those who are professional, unemotional and firm, which are characteristics that this man did not possess. People are rude, but people are also kind. Because I have been faced with numerous rude people, including many in the service industry, I should be rude back, right? No, I treat every person with kindness because, well, everyone deserves a smile and a kind word. It's time for us to stop glorifying this man's unprofessionalism, his theatrics and his bad attitude and, instead, give a "good job" to all those attendants who faced the same amount of rudeness, disrespect and bad days but smiled at each and every one of their customers while continuing to do their job. Those are the real heroes.

  29. Stlar says – reply to this

    29

Maybe because you fly coach you think this is how flight attendants always act. However, if I was on that plane I would have had that cranky bitch tossed. My money is worth more than a cut on his forehead from his prior drunken escapades.

  30. 30

you don't see the problem? love to see the hissy fit you would pull if there was coffee on your seat and someone spoke to you like that. weren't you the one banned from an LA morning show for being an asshole?

  31. chiro says – reply to this

    31

Another over emaotion gay man!!!! His job is to help passengers!!! I hope they thrpow him in jail!!!

  32. 32

Why would you assume they are lying and he isn't? They have nothing to gain by doing that. He sounds like he's on the edge.

  33. 33

It seems (as much as I love you Perez) that this guys sexuality has prejudiced you in his favour. Shame. I thought you were better than that.

  34. 34

We all hate Perez Hilton, yet we keep coming here. Why?

  35. jlh says – reply to this

    35

It is never okay to lash out like that..I don't care who you are or what you do or how you were treated. It is called respect…be the bigger person, but ESPECIALLY if this is your job. I don't understand how people think it is okay to freak out like this…how in the world is that a hero? Maybe people have dreamed of doing that at work, but that doesn't make it okay..I don't understand why people are praising this guy for freaking out? Even if the lady did make a bad comment to him first why is it okay for him to do what he did? However, from what it sounds like…he started the whole thing..IT IS YOUR JOB..and it is NEVER right to treat someone like that any way..no matter what..it is called respect…

  36. 36

i could tell there was something fishy about this guy he seemed really arogant around the press is that just me?? or did anyoe else notice that???

  37. 37

God, you're so annoying. A gay person can do NO WRONG in your eyes can they? This guys sounds like a dick…he was acting like a diva and deployed an emergency chute that could have killed someone if it had landed on them. They have a right to fire his ass. Get a new job if you can't stand the heat fucker. I'm all for gay rights and all for fair treatment, but this guy deserves to have his ass canned and to face charges for deploying the emergency chute on the plane without just cause. Stick it Perez.

  38. 38

This guy is obviously a douche. Look at the way he is LOVING all this attention. Of course because he is gay Mario is on his side.
Isn't it funny gays want the straight people to accept them and not be "prejudice" against them which I agree - but gays are FAR from be fair towards straights. Mario is the perfect example.

We should accept each other regardless.

Back to this guy, he should beg for his job back cause HIV Treatment probably cost a lot of money.

  39. 39

Re: **KC** – but his ear wasnt falling off it was just a cut on his forhead so there was no reason for him to be so agitated all he had to do was say ok it will be a min because i have to go take care of something he didnt have to get such an attitude and later on through a bitch fit for no reason!! this guy needs some help!!

  40. 40

….Plus he looks like the red headed stepchild with a bad temper. I bet the dimple in his chin is from going down on a guy and hitting his sharp belt buckle.

  41. 41

Surprise, surprise. Mario makes excuses for someone gay.

  42. 42

What Perez, are you the new godfather of the gay mafia or something? Protect the gay fella and disregard what any breeder has to say?

  43. 43

You are SUCH a DICK, Mario!! Of COURSE you're on HIS side, without being on the flight, seeing video footage of it, etc… You ONLY jump on people's bandwagons when the story is BIG int he NEWS, AND you are ATTRACTED to them!!! You REALLY should start to THINK OF/LOOK AT BOTH SIDES OF A STORY!!! It'd make life SO much easier!!!

  44. 44

i can't speculate on the matter.
    i wasn't there.

  45. 45

    Re: caring is creepy :(

Aye, bear in mind the 93% approval rating he's gotten is not so much for the real Slater as it is for people imaging doing this themselves to a current or past pointy-eared customer or boss. As the real Slater materializes through these and other eye-witnesses accounts, his support will evaporate.

Telling off a problem passenger and then resigning makes sense. Jumping down an emergency chute, not so much. And while flight attendants may like to believe they're only there to protect passengers, they are also waiters. They serve drinks, meals, and bring us pillows. The call buttons above our seats, albethem rarely used, are there for that very reason.

  46. 46

He was probably a dick too!!! No doubt in my mind!

  47. 47

ahaha what a little bitch this guy seems like to me!!

  48. 48

'tho blue juice brought some lightheartedness to us, seems to me he was already jonesing or he wouldn't have so wonderfully lost it

  49. 49

no, we need to find the coont that was being rude and drag her thru the mud too

  50. 50

I dont think he is a hero but i do think it is hilarious. And you dont know what lead up to this, all we know is what has been released. Love how some can judge someone who is judging someone and sound just as retarded. (like using the word retarded)

  51. 51

Ive been on a flight where he was working. He was somewhat abrupt in the sort of way that those on this plane have described. I think the new story emmerging is more then likely true. He had a bad morning which included banging his head, took it out on the passengers and then had a hissy fit of monumntal proportions! He is no a hero of the working man.

  52. 52

This guy isn't mentally ill, he is clearly a diva and needs to get over himself. You need the job, you need the money, you do it properly, you don't go around acting like you are better than everyone else. That's just rude and uncalled for. I supported his cause, but hearing that he was a dick to everyone makes me a little weary.

  53. Bree says – reply to this

    53

I know once you get an idea in your head about someone Perez you refuse to change it for anything. but I HIGHLY doubt the passengers are wanting fame from such an incident and for you to accuse them as such is wrong. If he's wrong then why can't you just admit that MAYBE, just MAYBE he did bad?!

  54. 54

And such is the thinking, or lack thereof, of Perez Hilton. Opposing viewpoints that do not fit into his narrative should be dismissed.

Who cares what the truth is?

  55. 55

There is another passenger who saw the whole thing from start to finish. She said the RUDE lady was fighting with another passenger over the luggage bin when they BOARDED the flight. He came to help, she cursed at him and then slammed the overhead bin lid on his head. At the end of the flight (as it was taxing to the gate), the same woman unbuckled herself, opened the luggage comparement and tried to remove her luggage. He went back to stop her & she cursed at him again and didn't listen. That is when he went to the front, cursed over the speaker, quit. The woman yelling that she didn't help him didn't know what happen and that he was bleeding and needing to take care of the medical issue. I would be cranky the entire flight if my work day started like that as well!

  56. 56

Yeah..I took him for a bitchy little bitch when I saw him on TV.

I'm so not shocked by these accounts!

  57. 57

I expect to get good service when I pay for my plane ticket… freaking things are always hundreds of dollars… so yeah service isn't optional.

  58. 58

Of course he should be in trouble, any of us would be if we pulled a fire alarm or an emergency door in our workplace. The slide costs 25K to repack and he threw a tantrum on an airplane and if ground crew had been in the line of fire they could have been killed. The story is funny but only for us; he is in a lotof trouble.

    59

it wasnt life or death for the douchebag. he still had a job to do. do it or get out

  60. 60

There's nothing worse than having a bitchy queen male flight attendant on a flight. There's nothing worse than a bitchy queen like Perez — hey you and Stevie have something in common! Hey Stevie, ever hear of the term "leave your problems at home" when you come to work????

  61. 61

    Re: caring is creepy :(
I never said his ear was falling off; I just used it as a hypothetical example as to how insensitive customers can be to those who serve them. He did have a gash on his head, which has been confirmed, which could have been very serious. The customer could have cut him a little slack, yet the only thing she can still complain about is she didn't get a sanitary wipe., and I would say he had good reason to bitch. Try going through a shift and being expected to bust your ass even though you're injured by a customer; I'd be bitchy too.

  62. 62

    Re: caring is creepy :(
PS. You'd be arrogant too around the press if you had just got released from jail, in need of a bath, and hundreds of news people are sticking mics in your face asking stupid questions.

  63. 63

It's funny how stories like this brings out the homophobes and the assholes (my guess is they're the type of assholes people like this guy complains about everyday on their job). What's even worse is when they try to candy-coat their bullshit with things like "but I'm all for gay rights." Yeah, sure you are!

  64. 64

    Re: J W
"it wasnt life or death for the douchebag. he still had a job to do. do it or get out"
I believe "getting out" is what he did!

  65. 65

Even though he actually did what most people only think of doing( but restrain themselves because they want to keep their jobs), he still acted unprofessionally, and either needs to be written up and suspended, or fired. His behavior was not something to emulate and look up to, it was deplorable.

  66. 66

Perez, you're only backing him because he's gay.

  67. @v@ says – reply to this

    67

Ruh roh, and a-HA. Genuine meltdown, and to think; so many people have already contributed to his defense fund. Lol! Reporters need to do a better job. This should have been sussed out right from the beginning, along with a statement from that offending passenger. Media takes a single sound bite out of context and runs with it these days, before responsibly gathering all of the facts. Standards are circling the drain. Sensationalism rules.

  68. 68

According to the news media (and some commenters have mentioned this), the whole thing started when Slater tried to intervene in a fight between two passengers over space in an overhead bin, and one of the two slammed the bin lid down hard on his head. THAT's why he had a bleeding gash on his head. Then when the plane landed, the same air raging idiot got up before they stopped taxiing, to remove her luggage, and wouldn't sit down when told to stop (it's unsafe to do so). Slater lost it at that point. I dunno. If I had been assaulted to the point of bleeding by some jerk, had to endure being locked up with them in cramped quarters while having to pretend that nothing happened, then was disrespected by the same jerk again, I'd be pretty upset too. Who knows what he's had to put up with over the last many years. Air raging passengers directing verbal and physical violence at air crew is pretty common nowadays. Maybe this was the "last straw" for him. Anyway, the real "diva" was the woman who whacked him on the head for just trying to do his job. She should be charged with criminal assault (injury involved).

  69. 69

Anyone who works in Customer Service knows how this guy feels! You always have those customers who absolutely feel like you owe them the world. A customer was in my line and she threw something on the floor, it landed a few feet from me, so I decided I could pick it up. She went off on me telling me I had an attitude problem when all I even did was pick something off the floor. She was taking her anger out on me because her boyfriend was being ridiculous with her, and she picked out a ton of stuff, she wasn't even sure if she wanted to buy. She kept getting in my face, and got mad when I asked my manager to take over for me.

As a person who works in customer service, I know that customers get rude and demanding. My job is to make sure you get everything you need, are treated decently, have fair prices, are pleased with your experience. My job is not to stand there and take your verbal and physical abuse.

  70. 70

Re: **KC** – no i wouldnt be arrogant i would be thankful of all the support but concieted people like you and this guy only think about yourselves and i understood what you were saying the first time you said it but mabey you should learn how to read because the post says "Marjorie Briskin claims that Slater had a "nice gash" on his head the entire flight from Pittsburgh to JFK" so he is lying about what happened!! which gves me reason to think mabey he brought this situation on himself and now trying to blame it on the evil passengers!!! LEARN TO READ ASSHOLE!!!!

  71. 71

    Re: caring is creepy :(
Honey, I already know how to read, seeing that I read through the numerous spelling and grammatical errors in your post. I'm not sure where you get that I'm conceited, either. A little defensive, aren't we? Yes, I do think about myself, as you should too, but I'm probably not like you who would rather just sit there and take shit from people. As for Marjorie Briskin's statement, she could very well be right, but that is just ONE person's statement. Perhaps you should heed some of your own advice about civility and learn to respond to opposing dialogue with some intelligence, rather than making yourself look like quite the stupid one and calling people assholes (ironically, you're acting just like Slater). Since you want to act like you're five years old, and call people "assholes," I'll stoop to your level and tell you to kiss mine.

  72. 72

Re: **KC** – I'm not saying I agree with you one way or the other, but you are one arrogant bitch.

  73. 73

    Re: unreal5511
Thank you, sweetie. I appreciate the compliment.
