AAACK!

After almost three and a half decades, the Cathy comic-strip is coming to a close!

Creator Cathy Guisewite will end the strip, which has run in about 1,400 newspapers, on October 3rd to spend time with her family and pursue other creative endeavors.

She said:

"After almost 34 years of meeting newspaper deadlines. I'm facing some personal deadlines whose requirements simply exceed my ability to procrastinate any longer: an 18-year-old daughter who needs a full-time mom to help her through her last year of high school and beyond … beloved parents I want to be able to visit more often … and a creative biological clock, which is urging me to try something else while I can."

It had a good run. Will U miss it?!

Give me a break. The kid is now legally an adult and she decides she needs to 'spend time with her kid…" maybe when her daughter was actually a CHILD would have been a good time to spend with her. What a stupid thing to say.

that comic was annoying. goodbye and good riddance. i agree with the other commenters regarding the comment she made about being with her child.

Dumbest comic ever. Was never even a tad bit funny. I can't believe it lasted so damn long. Good riddance.

The comic strip hasn't been any good for about four years. This woman is worried about her adult child needing her? You think the bitch would have figured that out about 17-3/4 years before this? Good riddance

NOOOOOO! The first comic strip I read in the morning. Second is For Better or Worse. Just take my superficial fun away. Yes I am intelligent but like frivolous things at times.

    aww So sad

WTF is a "creative biological clock"? Creativity doesn't have a shelf life! Yeah, I never needed a full time mom until I turned 18 either. STOOOPID. And the strip sucked anyway.
