Ouch! Big Brother Beats SYTYCD Finale In Ratings!

Not good!
CBS' reality show hit Big Brother beat Fox's two-hour season finale of So You Think You Can Dance last night!
Big Brother had 7.9 million viewers and SYTYCD only brought in 7.2 million, which was down 31% from last summer's finale.
Maybe the show could do with some re-working as well a la American Idol?

Big brother!! SYTYCD is so boring with constant commercials and ads for has-been celebrities. The show hasn't really changed and is super boring now.

I watched that skank Rachel get the boot on Big Brother. I haven't watched SYTYCD at all this time. Just lost interest.
For starters it shouldn't have been two hours. The regular shows shouldn't ever be two hours either. It's too long for people to consistently put the time into.

I just lost interest in SYTYCD for reasons unknown. Maybe because the show hasn't really changed much. I like all the judges, though, so it has nothing to do with that.
I love both shows but I watched BB and DVR'd SYTYCD. BB is only an hour where as SYTYCD is 2 hours…and almost all of that is repeating the favorite dances over the season. When I've watched the dances already why would I watch them again when I can watch Rachel get booted off BB?

Nigel Lythgoe and his band of white, middle aged judges are getting tired and monotonous. Bring some diversity to the judging table! Love the dancers on this season, though!
SYTYCD is one of the best shows on TV. I think this is more of a statement about what American wants to watch–art or trash. Apparently trash. God, but that Kat is a hot piece of crumpet, though. On a side note, if the numbers aren't coming in, having a TWO hour finale is just stupid. One hour would have been better. Ellen was fantastic, too.

Actually, I watched both. Sorta. Watched the first hour of BB and then the last hour of SYTYCD. I love both shows. It was nice to see screamin' Mary Murphy at the judges table. Bye-bye Brendan!

I have always hated big Brother, but Social Dynamics 101 synthesized in 3 day course schedule, Awesome! and it's fun and interactive!
I loved Rachel and Brendon, but once I saw how Rachel was spiraling out of reason, and playing with her heart rather than her mind, i turned on her, She was the strongest Competitor. Brendon took a grenade to the abdomen, its only a matter of time until he bleeds to death.
Now i think i'll root for Regan, or secondary Brittan. the Brigade is a bit silly, and they are all real weak competitors, i love Lane though, and Hayden is HOT, damn those nipples! wow!
SYTYCD is watched by my sister, though.

I sorta watched SYTYCD. My main show was Big Brother, but during commercials I would flip to SYTYCD. Even if a dance was giving me emotional goosebumps, I still went back to Big Brother immediately, didn't want to miss the live show! The second hour, I choose Real Housewives of DC to be my main, switching to SYTYCD. Each time I flipped back, it was a redance of something already in the season. I mean three different times. Nothing new or exciting. If they had done different things, maybe it would have kept my attention. Mary Murphy did her whole screaming and the train speech, and I remember how she started to annoy me on that show. And she looks like a friggin cartoon character.
Um there was no SYTYCD on my tv last night….a football game preempted it….so maybe that had something to do with the ratings…..
I watched Big Brother. Couldn't wait to see Rachel evicted.
I'd rather watch the test pattern than either of his crappy shows!

SABOTAGE!!! In Texas they bumped the finale to air the Dallas Cowboys preseason game. I was sooo pissed off when I got home from a long day at work. I was looking forward to the finale and found out the winner via the internet. It was PRESEASON. The game didn't even COUNT!!!!!!!!!

I watch both shows as they're my favorites for summertime viewing. But I did watch Big Brother because I REALLY wanted to see the house guests come between Rachel and her man!! It was AWESOME!! LOL Of course I recorded SYTYCD and watched it immediately afterwards. So Nygel shouldn't be too concerned. They just don't count people who record and watch later.

I've watched Big Brother since season one and wouldn't miss it! It gets me through the heat of summer. Don't know anything about the other show.
I watched SYTYCD live, then watched Big Brother on DVD! I really wanted to see one won SYTYCD and was very happy to see it was Lauren!
Big Brother!!! It was never a question. Big Brother is the best part about the summer! All the drama! Besides, I couldn't wait to see Rachel leave the house. She was such a big bitch. Ugh, don't get me started on her.
I used to really, really liked SYTYCD. The second season, third season and fourth season were great and I loved them but the show just wasn't the same after that, I don't know what it was. The people just…weren't as amazing. Sure they were great dancers but Benji from season 2? He was amazing! Not only a good dancer but so much fun to watch. No one has a personality on that show anymore.
