Just for the record. A good journalist or reporter, which is basically what you've deemed yourself, would state everything correctly. It is in poor taste to state things the way you have. Your nothing but an amateur, and your lack of inability causes others dismay. Shame on you.

    Cigarettes! Wifey-poo smokes also - she's next!

Score…with any home Catherine Zeta Jones will be back on the market within the year. Come get it Catherine!!

he's a smoker? Fool. This is one of the consequences unfortunately. Same as what Sammy Davis, Jr. had. Not sure why but this is a hard cancer to beat.

good luck! Positive thoughts coming your way.

hahahaha, how funny if he dies before Kirk. Yes, he and Catherine are both smokers…so he has first hand and SECOND hand smoke to blame. Their poor kids…we now know that THIRD hand smoke is everywhere on surfaces….will he smoke during his chemo? Wouldn't that be precious? Patrick Swayze did! So did Michael Landon and Dennis Hopper. Throat cancer and he expects to recover? HAHAHAHAHA. Why are your thoughts with him? He's 65. A smoker who lives to 65 is fortunate. What do we need him for? He was selfish to spawn those two young kids at his advanced age. I have no pity for him at all.

Five-year survival rate 30% for advanced, which he clearly has, or there wouldn't be chemo AND radiation both.

SEE, THIS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SMOKE!! DUDE IS 65? LOOKS 80 AT BEST… IF HE LOSES HIS SPEECH AFTER TREATMENT HIS CAREER IS DONE.

Why isn't this being called "throat cancer"? The words "throat tumor" must've been decided upon by a publicist cos, ya know, cancer is for old people.

Poor guy…..money can't buy health, but at least he can afford the best oncology team. He unfortunately has his use of cigarettes and booze to blame. As a former oncology nurse I can state that the chemotherapy and radiation treatment for esophageal cancer is brutal and in most advanced cases fails.

    Get well soon!

He may recover. There is a well-known Canadiens hockey player Jean Béliveau who had throat cancer years ago and he is alive and well. Same for Céline Dion's husband who was treated successfully for throat cancer and he is expecting twins now. Courage ! There are many cancer survivors, let's be positive and optimistic.
