Kids In The Hall Reunite For Miniseries!

Amazing! This truly has been a long time coming, and we couldn't be more excited!

The Kids in the Hall - Dave Foley, Bruce McCullough, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson - have reunited for television in a four-hour miniseries on IFC called The Kids in the Hall: Death Comes to Town!

The murder mystery will involve the grim reaper arriving in Shuckton, Ontario on a Greyhound bus and a murder that leaves everyone in town a suspect. Every character will be portrayed by one of the five!

LOLs! Sounds ridiculous!

Bruce apparently organized the reunion miniseries, and explains:

"It just required someone to say, 'I have an idea, I'll executive-produce it and I'll be the last man standing. So I did, and here we are. Being older, we value the troupe in a different, sweeter sense."

Well, we're thrilled to see you guys still working together!

Death Comes to Town will premiere this morning!

What do U think?? Will U be checking out the Kids in the Hall reunion??

this isn't new, this was on tv months ago, it was pretty good. I missed them, so it was nice to see them together again!

  2. 2

Ummm yeah this is old news as it was already on the CBC here in Canada last year!!

  3. 3

absolutely…wouldn't miss it for the world

  4. 4

Great news! I've missed this show and these guys (as a team). Luv the Scott!

  5. 5

It's been airing in Canada- I was sooooo excited to see them back together again, but the show BLOWS!!! It's nothing like Kids In The Hall.

  6. 6

Definitely! I hope that they're still as kooky as they were when they had their tv show.

  7. 7

The show doesn't BLOW. it IS very different from Kids in the Hall.
The first episode is definitely worth watching, because it is SO funny. The humour kind of declines a bit through the rest, but the story is still fun, and seeing them portray all the different characters is great. Its way more "Brain Candy" than the TV skit series.

  8. 8

Scott Thompson = adorable and hilarious.

  9. 9

This is old news, at least if you live in Canada I guess. The show aired early this year, and it wasn't that good.

  10. 10

Behind much??? It's was on CBC almost a year ago and I caught one of the repeats earlier this week. However not anywhere near as good as their original show, more of a sit com than a skit show. It was nice to see Scott up and working after his bout with stomach cancer.

  11. 11

it's an awesome show! especially, when i worked with them in the last episode of dctt. dave foley couldn't be anymore sweeter. plus, he's got great legs. lol.

  12. 12

Your just getting this show. Its been in Canada forever now it's absolutely hilarious

  13. 13

    Ummmmm yeah…

This is seriously OLD NEWS it already came out AGES AGO.

I tried to watch it but it was - to use mario's words - SHITEOUS.

  14. 14

DUDE, PEREZ, COME ON NOW!!!!!! THIS SHIT HAS BEEN ON SINCE JANUARY BUDDY!!!!!! BY THE WAY ITS VERY FUNNY AND MAYBE YOU SHOULD DIVE INTO THE TV GUIDE ONCE IN A WHILE!!!!!! GET WITH THE TIMES SWEETHEART!

  15. 15

Holy crap you are way behind in the states. This aired in Canada originally last year, still showing repeats to this day.

LOL….well, glad you yanks finally get to see more of the Kids…one of our great comedic exports :-)

p.s. The show is ok, not great…nothing compared to the original series.

  16. 16

ill be checking it out these guys are hilarious

  17. 17

Big disappointment. I'm a fan of their original series, their movie Brain Candy and have been to their live reunion tours, but DCtT wanks AND sucks.
    Better luck next time.

  18. 18

Yeah I liked this series. I live in the town of Mattawa where some of the movie was shot and it's out on DVD at Wal-mart.

  19. 19

Best news I've heard all day. Let's hope they still got it.

  20. 20

wow that pic is old! :) I'm looking forward to this; I've been a fan since the 80's!

  21. 21

I LOVE THIS SHOW WHEN I WAS A KID. IT WOULD COME ON IN THE WEEE HOURS & I'D STAY UP AND LAUGH, LAUGH, LAUGH….UNTIL MY MOM WOULD COME ASK ME, "WHAT IS SO FUNNY CHILD?" I WOULD STARE HER DEAD IN THE EYE & SAY, "YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND. I'M MISSING MY SHOW. PLEASE GO." THEN YOU KNOW WHAT SHE WOULD SAY? "GIRL TURN THAT TV OFF AND GO TO BED RIGHT NOW." I DID AS SHE SAID. THEN 5 MINUTES LATER I WOULD TURN IT BACK ON WITH THE VOLUME LOW. IT WAS ALL GOOD UNTIL I WOULD LAUGH, THEN YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED NEXT. I'M SO THRILLED TO WATCH THEM AGAIN.

  22. 22

the shows been out for like a year now.

  23. 23

    Mario

So how much did you get paid to advertise a show you've obviously never heard of? "Every character will be portrayed by one of the five!" Just like they've always done. Your ability to make money by lying is too obvious.

  24. 24

    This is so last year!

  25. 25

It's been on TV here in Canada twice in it's 8 week, half hour each show format. Pretty fucking good, actually. All the characters are original, and done very well by the five kids(except for one, The Chicken Lady, played by Mark Mckiney, who I hated when The Kids In The Hall was on. Too fucking creepy)Hope they do another series like it. They probably will, since it was so well received when it was on.

  26. 26

30 Helens agree this will be GOOD!!!
They wore drag so well! It was unsettling and faboosh!

  27. 27

Re: B0Nnay – Forgot about the 30 Helens. That was funny shit."Squishing your head.I'm squishing your head"
My Pen!My Pen!He's got my pen!"
    What else?Anybody else remember?

  28. 28

Re: Gizzy GiselleRe: Gizzy Giselle – Umm yeah, the audience he caters to is mostly Americans, so yeah we don't really get the, what was it? CBC? Is that like one of the Canadian channels you guys get?

  29. 29

Re: tinyguyincanada – What about the Teddy Bear Picnic, where dad Bruce Mccullough makes up the stories with faries and goblins to Scott Thompson the bratty little boy to get him to fall asleep and he starts crying and tells him the picnic sounds like utter crap? I dont know I could go on. I LOVE those guys!!!

    30

this already aired on the cbc. the fat dude's stupid friend did it.

  31. 31

Re: tinyguyincanada – I think I'm gonna down load some tonite. All of mine were on VCR tapes when the comedy channel would have Father's Day with a Kids in the Hall Marathon! Bruce did a few reeealy good musical ones. Breaking up with LAURA! And one about Terriers. And the one where Bruce picks up a stray business man-Can we keep him Mom?
    I'm a dork!

  32. 32

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

  33. 33

This is far from new, since the series has completely aired and wrapped up months ago. It was good (of course), but its old.

You need a proof reader as well as a fact checker. You have my email, I can do both!

    34

It's very funny. Us Canadians got to see it this past winter and now its running in repeats. If you are a KITH fan… you will love it!

  35. 35

Ummmm…OK perez, I think its GREAT that you love kids in the hall, but get with the news, guy! Didnt this show air like a year ago? I already bought the DVD on Amazon….

  36. 36

Re: B0Nnay – These are the Daves I know, These are the Daves I know.
Everything but that Chicken Lady!Really creepy.
I'm surprised Perez doesn't talk about this more cecause of all the homosexual references made by pretty much everyone on the cast. Scott Thompson and the rest did some very cutting edge comedey twenty years ago.

  37. 37

Hey guys! There's no need to download. You can get all five seasons in a box set for less than 50 bucks on Amazon.

By the way, obviously this came out on the CBC earlier this year, but we're JUST now getting it in the States. I jacked the first two episodes and they were hilarious. Unsettling, but pretty funny.

  38. 38

Being Canadian I have also seen Death Comes to Town….Loved every minute of it….could also watch it on the CBC website….Scott Thompson is my favourite kid can't get enough of him…..keep watching old Kids in the Hall episodes on You Tube…
