Emma Roberts Going To Be Spider-Man's New Mary Jane?
Yes… No… Maybe. (No, really. That's the answer.)
By now, we're all aware that Tobey Maguire and KiKi Drunkst are out of the Spider-Man franchise and are now being replaced by a younger generation.
We already know that young, practically unknown actor Andrew Garfield is playing Spidey, but what of his leading lady, Mary Jane?
Well, there is no Mary Jane this time around…but there is a love interest. The producers of the film are auditioning actresses to fill the role of a different lady in Spidey's life, though there is no word yet if it is someone already from the mythology (like Gwen Stacy) or some other new character.
Regardless, the frontrunner for the role seems to be Emma Roberts, who has already flow back to El Lay twice from the set of Scream 4 twice for readings.
So maybe she will, maybe she won't. There are a bunch of unknowns being considered too, but we think it would be better to put Emma in the role, just to have one familiar face in the mix.
It's turning out to be quite a year for Emma and big franchises! Good for her!

If she was going to play Mary Jane she would need some serious breast enhancement. Emma is lovely but rather flat and Mary Jane is built like the proverbial brick outhouse.

Can't they just F#cK3n follow the comic-book lore and start with Gwen Stacy as his girlfriend? That story is much more interesting.

I don't hate her but truth is she only gets jobs because she's related to Julia and Eric Roberts. I remember watching her sing on Unfabulous and it wasn't always very good… or even good at all. But I'm happy for her success. I haven't seen her in anything else but I hope she's really talented and worth it.

She would be perfect. And for those of you who said she's being given everything just because she's Julia's niece did you not read the part that said she'd "flown back and forth to LA twice"? The role isn't being given to her, she's having to read for it just like everyone else. She's proven herself to be a talented young actress in her own right. She's earned the right to the recognition for that.

Seriously?! That's what water bras are for. Why should a young girl have surgery to get a part in a movie? That's ridiculous and insulting. It's about the ACTING ability, not the size of her boobs. God, is this really what the world has become?
