Re: 7kimba8 – Then you have yet to see performances and other songs of TaeYang . Honestly , Korean artists have a much higher work ethic than ones here in the states (and no , I am not Korean) . TaeYang and a few other artists in Korea dance to high caliber choreography (intricacy seen in groups such as Kaba Modern and So Real Cru on ABDC) and can STILL sing very well at the same time . I don 't know anyone currently in the states that can dance AT THAT LEVEL and still sing adequately (so. . .sorry Chris Brown and Omarion) other than Usher himself . Please don 't be so ignorant .

Taeyang is a great artist. I have seen him perform numerous times and I can say that he is very talented and even surpasses some US artists.

I have seen tons of KPop videos and though some have hints of MJ influence most are remotely MJ-ish! So stop bashing them and stuff your racist comments!

oh wow Taeyang Taeyang always comes up with polished productions like this when it comes to his solo projects. My favourite single by him by far is Wedding Dress. Beautiful song, beautiful video to top it off.

Thriller was fucking awesome, and so is the shit that's influenced by it, you twat. It's a fucking genre now, of course people are going to do the same thing now. Do you know why Michael Jackson extended the beginning of Billie Jean? So he could FUCKING DANCE TO IT in live shows. That's bad ass. HE INVENTED THE DANCER/SINGER. And as far as I can tell, Korea is bringing it back from the grave on a national scale. Pop music is pop music, it changes with time, but it has less to do with the actual quality than with the easy accessibility it has to the public. And you can't deny that choreographed dance is big for that accessibility…because it is. Holy crap, so many kids burned their feet on carpets (myself included) trying to imitate MJ, and that applies to Koreans trying to imitate their pop stars. IT'S A FUCKING POSITIVE.

Why do you think Shakira and Enrique Iglesius and Ricky Martin learned English and had small runs in the American market, although they were already established elsewhere in the world?…it was to INCREASE THEIR EXPOSURE. They are balling out of their minds and set for life now. Then they went back to making Spanish albums, or bilingual albums, or what have you. Everyone on Earth knows Beyonce. Everyone in Korea knows Taeyang. Big difference. Be glad Taeyang is getting exposure outside Korea. The Asian community is still waiting for that true Asian pop idol to make it big in US…and it may never happen if more people are like you.

You seriously do need to get out of the country. Asian music industry has been growing since long time too.. They have amazing artists and music. Stop bagging on them. Actually. In terms of production value. It goes Korea-Japan-US. For example, Ushers OMG video. He could of done so much more with this, Tae Yang's I need a Girl video is better in quality, plot value and in creativity. I compare them because Tae Yang is known as the Usher of Korea. Plus YG Entertainment which is Tae Yang's label employs Shaun Evaristo for the choreography. And all this stuff about Micheal Jackson. Micheal influenced alot of artists around the world and even Tae Yang who said he looked up to Micheal during a tribute interview. Tae Yang is amazingly talented, then again alot of Korean artists are, because they are recruited for that cause and they need to put out because unlike American artists which are not required to sing live, they have too. Korean fans are scary and have even had stars commit suicide when something offends them. Trust me. Korean artists must deliver and they work way harder then US artists including performing live 3 -4 nights a week with the same song and going on endless variety shows/radio shows. Some even have health issues, such as exhaustion and fainting from the hard work.
