Fantastic Four Reboot: Casting Rumors Commence!

| Filed under: Film FlickersJonathan Rhys Meyers90210

Sorry, Ioan Gruffudd, but it looks like somebody else is going to take over the title of Mr. Fantastic.

As seems to be the case with every franchise these days, Fantastic Four is getting the reboot treatment, and the casting rumors have begun for some of the lead roles.

The top two contenders for Mr. Fantastic are Adrien Brody and Jonathan “Crazy Eyes” Rhys Meyers. Both certainly seem like intriguing picks for the lead character, but perhaps Brody comes across as a more likable superhero than troubled Rhys Meyers. Guess we’ll see.

As far as the Invisible Woman role is concerned, two names currently being thrown around are Alice Eve and Amber Heard.

Eve recently quit X-Men: First Class, so we only hope she’ll stick to her word if she lands this role. Her competition, Amber Heard, was also up for a role in the new X-Men, but she lost out to Jennifer Lawrence. Maybe you’ll have better luck this time, Amber!

The only other name floating around at the moment is Kevin Pennington, for the Human Torch role. Pennington is known for his 4-episode run on 90210, and he also played an uncredited party stud in the 2009 comedy Miss March.

We wish you all the best of luck but mostly Adrien Brody!

Are U on Team Brody or Team Crazy Eyes?

crazy eyes. hes a hottie. (:

Isn't jonathon that guy that used the n word in the airport? well I really don't give a fuck just as long as he is not racist. But, crazy eyes is very sexy, I like Adrian's acting so either will be fine. But, I especially want to see Jonathon he could see him more in that movie than Adrian.

    brody all the way.

  4. 4

just keep chris evans as the human torch and i'll be good.

  5. 5

Team Jonathan all the way. He's incredibly handsome and talented :)

Adrien Brody can act…all the other clown can do is get drunk and physically abuse people at the airport (airport in France, physically assualted personnel) and use racist remarks (the n-word) when he is grounded for being too drunk to fly (JFk airport NYC). Jonathan Rhys Meyers is a closeted, self-loathing raciest. Brody all the way…. besides he really is a good actor he could totally pull of the nerdy Mr Fantanstic

    Brody! Brody! Brody!

Umm. This movie will fail without the original cast. Movies like that almost always do. Spiderman 4 will fail too. A shame.

I can't get over that ugly guy's giant nose. So I'm on team Rhys Meyers.

Both are bad choice but I'd go with Brody if no one else suiting is available.

  12. 12

I'd pick Jonathon…but why can't they come up with something new. It's like all writers have lost thier imagination and can't come up with something new, so they have to remake everything a million times.

  13. 13

Oo that dude does have crazy eyes.

  14. 14

Yvonne Strahovski would do great in playing Invisible Woman..

  15. 15

OMG I love them both!!! I WANT THEM BOTH!

  16. 16

    no more reboots
how about reboot your originality hwood

  17. 17

I would love to see Jonathan Rhys Meyers in a new flick, but this is not the one. Why do they keep cranking out these shitty reboots? JRM is to good for this one. His forte is drama!

TEAM CRAZYYYY!! However, JRM is way too high up for this kind of role…the first Fantastic 4 was a FLOP, and this one probably won't even make it to theatres.
