Kanye West To Release One Song Every Week!
Brace yourself, because weeks are about to get a whole lot better…that is, if you like Kanye West.
Kanye has announced via Twitter that he will release a new song every week through Christmas time:
"I know y'all need the music so I'm dropping 1 new song every weekend until Xmas. It may be my song, it may be a new Jay song, etc."
More from Kanye:
"Y’all know every Friday y'all gone have a new joint from our family. We look at the game completely different now … It's about the fans. No more holding back. That's why I dropped 'See Me Now' … it wasn't about me, it was about the Summer the BBQs etc."
Kanye is referring to his new Friday releases as G.O.O.D. Fridays. Apparently, he hasn’t been getting very much sleep while creating all this new music for the fans. Here’s what Kanye had to say about it via Twitter:
"Swizz looked at me the other night and said, 'Man are you getting sleep?' And I told him, 'I can't sleep … my people need this new music,' "
We like the thought behind these weekly Friday releases, Kanye, and we really appreciate the effort…but maybe try to grab a couple of hours of sleep every night. If every once in a while a track has to be released on a G.O.O.D. Saturday, we promise we won’t hold it against you.

Kanye kicks ass. I saw his "Glow in the Dark tour" 2 years ago. Him, Pharell, and Rihanna was the opening act. It was one of the funnest shows ever.

I'm all for new beats to strut my stuff to (watch out world, white girl on the move?) but, firstly, if he's determined to release a new song every friday, doesn't that mean the music may sometimes be rushed and thus not live up to its full potential?
Secondly, why is he talking about it like his music holds the key to, say, eradicating poverty and saving our souls? I know music can brighten our day… But calm down with the dramatics a bit, yknow?

i liked kanye better when he was in hiding for being a douche bag at the vma's…hopefully he will pull some other looser attention seeking stunt and go away again.

just proves that it takes little effort these day to put music together. Let see, rip off a rift from the past, put in some shitty lyrics, and bam…you have a track. So tired of these disposible songs, when are we gonna get back to the days when music was an art, and not as simple as putting together a happy meal.
Its not the internet downloads that are killing the music industry, its the crap they are selling.
