Seriously, Nadine?

Just go back to Girls Aloud!

The singer's attempt at a solo career has officially hit a new low - as she's signed with British supermarket chain Tesco to exclusively release her upcoming album at their stores!

A source reveals:

"Tesco will sell her album exclusively to their customers and it won't be available anywhere else, and being able to work on the music that she wants was the main reason for going with Tesco. She's decided who she's wanted to work with from the start. She's in control of every single decision - from the writers, the producers and the collaborators - and wants to produce her dream album. She didn't want to be a puppet for a record company. She's planning a year of publicity, performing on her own and creating a brand for herself. She hasn't started to think about when she will return to the band - or even if she will."

What a disaster!

that entire group is a disaster……

I'm not gonna judge til I've heard the music. Could be a disaster but I quite like that she's doing her own thing, that takes bloody hard work and shows she won't be swayed by the £££. I believe she could've easily gone the cheryl route and signed to a massive label if she'd wanted to- all the girls in the band can- so it shows something. I'm kinda routing for her because of that.

You're not thinking here, PH. Tesco [in the UK] is similar to Target, where I bought Britney Spears first CD what seems like another lifetime ago. Making these kind of deals are not just lucrative, but market to the performers audience demographic with massive advertising - she made a smart move.

PS, you're still making a ton of typo's and it still looks tacky…

Nadine Coyle + TESCO … there's a match made in heaven. Only about 10% of the population are familiar with either.

  7. 7

    How is this a disaster?

  8. 8

Re: Secret Message – 10% of the population of USA maybe, probably less. However she obviously isn't trying to break America right now, and 99% of the population (ruling out children under 10) know what Tesco is, and a similar figure know she is the only one in Girls aloud who can sing well

stupid girl. get back to girls aloud where you belong. its your fault we have to put up with 'the saturdays'

Whats so bad about that? Tesco is the biggest supermarket in the UK - most people shop there or at least pop in to check out their deals ans sales.

I'm not a fan of Nadine or GA, but I have loads of respect for her for not going down the Chavvy 'puppet/media-whore' Cole route. I might just buy the album to annoy all of the people who put her down for not being all manufactured and fake like CC.

Perez, something like 1 in every £8 pounds spent in the UK is spent at Tesco, its massive everyone has a local Tesco, they sell everything , it almost has a monopoly of the market so its not really a bad idea!

    Re: jaytay3733 – EXACTLY! It's a very smart move on Nadine's part!

If you were from the UK Piggy, you would understand that this isn't really a disaster, Tesco is HUUUUUGE here, her album is going to be on view to millions of people everyday, and promoted in about two and a half thousand stores.

    Re: Diva-Babe – so true. ga>sats

  15. 15

Yeah, selling your record at a supermarket… that's pretty Bottom of the Barrel… what was she thinking? Wonder if they will display it next to the frozen section or the produce? Yikes…

Isn't Tesco like the Wal-Mart of the UK? Cause you realize Miley Cyrus and The Eagles have released albums exclusively at Wal-Mart to platinum-selling success.

I don't know how well her album is going to do, though. Obviously she has a great voice, but I don't know if she has the star power like Cheryl Cole does. It's like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera: clearly Christina has the better voice but Britney is just straight-up more popular.

  17. 17

That makes me want to cry as a US fan new i have to just make due youtube.

  18. 18

Seriously, Perez? Do you even know what a fucking Tesco is? 10% of all money spent in the UK is spent at Tesco. Eh, she's doing better than you are at any rate.

  19. 19

Erm, isn't Tesco the second biggest supermarket chain IN THE WORLD? Could be worse….at least she didn't sign with Zavvi last year….
