It was the moment fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey have been waiting for ever since Bravo let the show loose for a second season: a showdown between Matriarch Caroline Manzo and Jafar's far eviler twin sister, Danielle Staub.
It was a magical. Caroline called in a favor from the "family" and set the stage for Godfather-esque meeting. She told Danielle a'sumthin about being a clown and a piece of garbage, while Danielle clutched at the armrests of her chair, waiting to take her suicide pill should Teresa come flying in to flip another table. At the end, it was too much talk, not enough name calling and in reflection, both Caroline and Danielle feel the incident is behind them.
For Caroline's part, she is taking the high road and showing regret for letting Danielle's crayzay get to her. She wrote on her Bravo blog:
"I’m not proud of the names I called her; my remarks were cruel and childish. But, that's my truth. Makes absolutely no sense but, it is what it is. I said what I said out of frustration and anger. I was speaking to someone who was looking me dead in the eye and lying to me. Not only that, there was absolutely no accountability on her part at all."
Meanwhile, Danielle jumped at the chance to take one more swing at Caroline from a safe distance, so she grabbed a bodyguard, picked up the phone, and softly, so as not to be heard by the neighbors, who could be Manzo spies, told sources:
"There is no resolve with a clown who calls anyone garbage. Remember to stand your ground ~ even if the ground seems to move ~ stay still ~ it'll move around you."
Wow. Deep. Are those lyrics to your next song?
Oh no! Please! Don't tell us those are lines from your next song?!?!
