Phew!

A U.S. appeals court cleared Tyler Perry of claims that he stole the idea for his film Diary Of A Mad Black Woman.

Playwright Donna West brought the case against Perry which was dismissed in 2008 after jurors decided she didn't have enough evidence to support her claim.

She then launched an appeal, but yesterday it was ruled that there was no improper conduct in the original trial.

West claimed that Perry could have gained access to her script for her play Fantasy of A Black Woman back in 1998 when they both presented plays at the Dallas Black Academy of Arts and Letters.

Close call for Tyler!

Why would anybody claim that this hack's writing was theirs. His movies and TV shows are a trainwreck that only appeal to a lowbrow black audience. Probably pays his staff in food stamps.

Considering that every one of his movies have exactly the same story, couldnt he sue himself for plagiarism? That trial might be slightly more interesting than those repetitive crappy movies…..

As usual you white people think that the world revolves around what you think about us, I can assure that it does not. If you don't care for Tyler Perry or his movies, don't watch. It is as simple as that. He doesn't write or produce his movies for you, he does them for his African American audience. His orientation also is none of your business, it his personal, private life. Why does it matter to you, since he means nothing to you. You are destructive people, and ultimately it will lead to your demise.

Re: Juneteenth – Are you serious? You wish for the demise of all white people because SOME of us dont like Tyler Perry movies? For the record this white person does not have ANY issue with Mr Perry's race (or sexual preference) I simply stated that after having enjoyed (yes, enjoyed) the first couple of his films, I realized that he only knows how to write one story over and over. And not very well (in this ONE white person's opinion). By your line of thinking, do I need to get rid of any movies or music created by African Americans because it isnt made for me? Are you preaching segregationism? And finally, I do not think the world revolves around myself and the rest of the white race. I decided long ago not to view people based on their skin color. Clearly you have not learned how not to judge others in this fashion. I cant speak for anyone else posting here, but my comment was based solely my opinion of the quailty of the films Tyler Perry makes. I do not appreciate being called a bigot because I do not appreciate his films. Now I need to go calm myself down. Maybe I will listen to some Sade, that always works. Oops, I cant. It wasnt made for me. Damn!
