Wowsa!

Susan Boyle will perform for Pope Benedict XVI during his trip to Scotland next month.

She will sing three times at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow on September 16 including the hymn "How Great Thou Art" and of course, "I Dreamed A Dream." A choir will also accompany the performance.

She says:

"To be able to sing for the pope is a great honor and something I've always dreamed of — it's indescribable. I think the 16th of September will stand out in my memory as something I've always wanted to do. I've always wanted to sing for His Holiness and I can't really put into words my happiness that this wish has come true at last."

Congrats, SuBo!

Good for her! She deserves such an honor. She seems like a genuinely nice personwho isnt that impressed by herself or her new found celebrity status.

Uugghh isn't her 15 mins of fame over yet? She's got a decent voice but nothing to write home about. And why does she sing "I dreamed a dream" over and over and over….really try something new

sweet god is she wearing a leather racing jacket?!

  5. 5

I wonder how the pope is going to react to her singing a song about getting knocked up after some out-of-wedlock sex.

  6. 6

… will she drink Kool Aid too?

Last time I saw a mouth like that, it had a hook in it!

I get that she can't do anything about the face, but what about the hair and makeup?

If the pope wants to hear that song, better to get Patti Lupone instead. She sings it 1000Xs better and is easier to look at–although SuBo looks like a man, so the pope might be into that more.

The Popes visit To the UK is costing us the tax payer £12million, it's f**king disgraceful!

an honor? He is an evil evil evil man living amidst opulence and hiding from real-world truths and preaching hideous hideous things. Untold suffering in the name of superstition and Middle Ages mentality. Underneath the stupid robe and jewels is just a man with flab and genitalia; inside the cranium is a mind addled by hysterical myths. "His Holiness"? even the terminology is repugnant. He's just a person, and a very evil one at that. No more to be admired than a genocidal dictator. When was the last time he planted a garden, built a house, saved a forest or community?
