Lady GaGa has revealed that despite she and Paris Hilton both attending the Convent of the Sacred Heart, she and heiress couldn't be any more different!
She says:
'It's true [that we went to school together], but I don't see [Paris] as an artist. People assume that all the girls who went to my school were like Nicky and Paris, and the truth is that I went to a very, very religious school and some girls were very artistic and some did drugs and didn't give a fuck. It was just like any other high school. Except we had nuns. [At school] I was the smart, studious theatre and music student. I didn't hang out with all the popular blonde girls. I wasn't blonde really until I was 20 years old.'

I know the school is a tad small, but they are five years apart. Unless Gaga was friends with the younger sisters of Paris and her friends, she probably wouldn't know much of what Paris did in school. They attended the same school, but they are so far apart in age that you really can't say they "went to school together".

Gaga has a group of people behnd her, creating her stuff, her music is not new at all, she makes contemporary pop music, her outfits are usually conceptual pieces made by fashion designer, she just wear them, just like models.
It's ridiculous how people call Gaga, a wannabe who copies succesful people's styles (Madonna, Cyndi, Bowie, Grace Jones) an artist, when all she does is wearing what Lee McQueen and other weirdos (but talented) designers make.
Besides that, Gaga sucks at songwriting. Her lyrics are really REALLY poor. Come on!

They always have things about the older 70s and 80s club days but they never delve into club scenes in NYC THESE days and of the last 10 yrs…. Gaga went to clubs for what a fkin yr or 2 and totally jacked all of the crazy fashion, the drugs, the pain, the experience, the life and then became famous and tried to act like this sick crazy chick when she was a regular girl….she's just as much a poser as Avril Lavigne except Gaga tries to be the tough NYC, sick, twisted bitch that she would see on the streets and in the clubs of NYC and wanted to act like them so bad…like the gays and transexuals who dress up in crazy costumes covered with blood and tons of makeup…not to mention a huge catalogue of other people….
I've been going to clubs since 1998 and there is NOTHING that Gaga has done that has been any different then what's been going on here….the problem I have is the credit she gets…me and my friends always joked about how the media never portrays NYC kids how they REALLY are….they portray the kids LIKE Gaga who grew up in a rich neighborhood and went to prestigious schools and went to the bad part of town for "experience" which is exactly what Gaga did…but yet she acts as though she never fit in or she was some weirdo in High School when she had tons of friends and she is totally playing up the image of the kids from the OTHER parts of NYC as well as other artists in the industry who came before her….
I have been a fan of dance music my whole life and there are amazing songs that never get radio airplay but are massive in the club world….Gaga took the elements from it and the kids who don't know that life think SHE created it….That SHE is innovative when infact she's a quilt who takes ideas, styles and image from other people….she is a poser and she is overrated..and she has been EXPOSED already but fans and media alike choose to ignore those facts..I can only laugh at the naive masses who don't see the the truth….

Well Paris isn't a natural blonde either even though she would like people to think so….also…what people do not know is she doesn't have blue eyes naturally either. Some of you all are taking her comment way too seriously. First of all, it wasn't meant as a dis. Second, she spent less than half of that quote talking about Paris. Just because someone says someone makes a great pop record, it doesn't mean they think they're an artist (and I saw the videoclip–it was all schmoozing, which some of you don't seem to get). Even I thought "Stars Are Blind" was a pretty great and catchy pop song when I first heard it. Of course, that was 4 years ago.

Well, your attitude is juvenile, so why not go around calling yourself an artist? What you don't seem to get is no one here is convinced you know any more about the club culture or dance music more than GaGa or any other poster on here. Going out since 98? Wow, such a long life you've lived.
What you also don't get is practically every artist is a quilt and absorbs ideas & fashion. That's how pop culture evolves and continues. Some just do it better than others. GaGa isn't just successful because she simply copies other people. If that were the case, every Michael Jackson or Madonna clone that has come out over the last 30 years would have had the same success.

um. Lady Gaga is 23 and I believe Paris Hilton is 28 or 29 so they are a good 5 years apart. They didn't interact with each other is because who in school hangs out with someone that is 5 yrs apart in age from eachother?? It doesn't matter much when you're in your 20s but a 12 yr hold hanging out with a 17 yr old in school, not gonna happen. The answer was kind of retarded, all she could have said is that Paris is 5 yrs older than her so they really wouldn't have been great friends in school anyways or even see eachother in the hallways.
