Netflix Comes To IPhone And IPod Touch!

We REALLY hope this isn’t going to start a trend of people watching movies while driving.

Today, Netflix has launched free apps for the IPhone and IPod Touch, which allow members to watch instant movies directly on their portable device.

While there have already been ways to watch movies on portable devices, we feel like this new app is going to seriously increase the popularity of portable movie watching. Aside from car accidents, here are some other questions/concerns we have about this:

-Will people start taking way longer whenever they use the bathroom? Are bathroom breaks at work going to go from five minutes to an hour and forty-five minutes?

-Are we ever going to see a person watching a portable movie in a movie theater while another movie plays on the big screen?

-Is it going to become difficult to catch people on their phones because they’ll always be preoccupied watching episodes of 30 Rock?

Will U start watching more movies on your Iphone/Ipod Touch now that Netflix has gone portable?

Are you serious?? "Will people watch movies on their IPos in a movie theater while another movie is playing?" Are you an idiot!?! No they won't, why? cause they pay good money to watch the movie in a theater! Perez, you are an idiot!

i heared that The application is free; Netflix memberships start at nine bucks a month. We watched a full-length film over the iPhone’s 3G connection – Silent Running, indeed ,my hobby is collecting any nice iphone apps , i think these apps are very useful too . if i can watch TV directly on iphone , i needn't to convert some videos with Aneesoft iphone video converter to my iphone ~~ but on the other hand, i deeply feel i becoming lazyer and lazyer . Needless to say , the updated Continuously iphone and ipad just make people becoming lazyer ,though they bring us more experience.

Hulu.com also launched the same service for iPod, iTouch, Ipad and also certain HD TVs like Samsung. It's called Hulu Plus

Ummm, it's free. Need we say more??

    1. Get with the times, this app was released ages ago.

    2. The the hell needs 5 minutes to go to the toilet anyway, but unless bosses start allowing 1hr 45m breaks to go to the toilet then of course it won't be effected by this app.

    3. Not likely that someone'll pay to see one movie and watch another on their iPhone/iTouch, but even if some moron did want to then who cares - they're only wasting their own money.

    4. There's only so much you can stand watching a video on a 4" screen, but even if someone were constantly preoccupied with their Netflix app then send them an email, physically talk to them or give up as they obviously don't have enough of a life that it's worth talking to them.

As for people watching whilst driving and this causing a ride in accidents, don't be so f***ing melodramatic. Videos and downloadable movies have been available for years on phones and portable media players, and so have Apple apps and iTunes to allow users who don't illegally download to have movies and TV shows. There have also been in-built TVs for cars for years, and yet I bet there is a very slim percentage of road traffic incidents related to someone watching a video whilst driving.

Perez, sort your staff out; looks like you've been hiring grumpy old farts who can't even write the names of one of the most popular gadgets of this generation correctly (iPhone & iTouch).

Can you say "Limited 2GB Data Plan"?? And if I was gonna watch at home with a WiFi connection, i'll just watch it on my frigging TV. A 90mn movie on AT&T will cost you about $40 to watch

    This is good!

So now when I go to the gym or something, I can watch whatever I want. :)

For those I've spoken to who have used Netflix in their iphone, it works great. I'm in!
