Joey Lawrence tore his cornea after being hit in the eye with a script while rehearsing for his new ABC Family show Melissa & Joey.
He Tweeted:
"Hey my tweet peeps. Sorry for being AWOL. I got hit in the eye yesterday mrng by accident in the set and it ripped my cornea. Trying to heal so I can do the show tmrw and be ok! Love you all and I'll be in touch very soon xoxo."
He was taken to the hospital right away and is expected to be back at work tonight.

I've been watching "Melissa and Joey" and haven't watched a sitcom since the 90's. I noticed right away how LOUD everyone speaks. I had forgotten that!

ouch….that happened to me a couple weeks ago but it takes less than a week to heal so thats good. I watched Melissa and Joey, and I thought it was cute.
I saw his baby brother on The United States of Tara, season one. I wonder what his other brother is up to.

geeez. people. that is a cute show! because its not full of sex and cursing your make out like its so bad. they look cute together and and i wish the show the best of luck….Hey maybe one of you will tear your eye….it freaking hurts! i hope the show goes off the charts and makes it big. people are so hateful to people that are not doing anything wrong. if you dont like the show dont watch it i think you will find its pretty easy to do. I love the show!
