Good for him! He needs this!

Earlier this week, George Michael appeared in front of a judge and pleaded guilty to drug charges after ramming his car in a photo shop back in July.

The singer now has announced that he's entered a 14-day detox program where he will receive outpatient treatment, which includes drug counseling "several times a week."

Michael posted a note on his website to his fans, saying:

"I want to thank you all sincerely, and also to reassure those of you who worry so much for me. I fully appreciate the seriousness of my current situation, for which I truly apologise…

I feel you should know that on the day after the incident I checked in to a clinic for a 14 day detox program here in London, which has been followed by ongoing outpatient drug counselling several times a week. Personal problems which I had tried to deal with myself had clearly got the better of me, and I am sorry that my pride has prevented me from seeking help before now.

I would also like to express my thanks to those whose discretion allowed me to begin this process in private, which has helped me greatly."

We hope this works, George!

I wish him all the luck in the world! Geroge Michael is one of the most brilliant musicians of our time and I´ve had a crush on him since I was 11!

What is 'rehab' to these celebrities? Is it an extended stay at The Four Seasons facility? I'm so over tired old celebrities that really have much more than the rest of us and always complain and are always unhappy. This is so unSTYLISH.

THE 12-STEP RELIGIOUS AA/NA CULT IS A FRAUD!

it's sad how he's let his pride stop him from seeking help before now, no ones perfect guys, the media should lay off him and let him get his shit together he's a massive talent and I just wanna hear music from him and less drama

I like his music but not him…
I don´t think it´s gonna work. He´s too weak in his mind. It is not the first time that he is in trouble ..and apparently not the last..

Guilty guilty guilty. He keeps on driving intoxicated arrest after arrest, and 'rehab' is just a way to get to do it again. He's rich enough to have a chauffeur drive him while he's impaired, but he hasn't and won't.
His musical talent had gone up his all his puffs of druggie smoke.
      What a waste.
Someone's gonna die because of his entitlement, and it probably won't be him.
      What a shame.

      Good luck George!

This is great news. We lost one great 80's talent thanks to drugs we don't need anymore. Love you George.

14 days to detox from weed? As much as this man has been smoking for years it's gonna take a whole lot longer than 14 days, it's going to take months.

Hope he finds a good shrink. It's not only about “` the drugs ““ It's the real reason “` why “ he does the drugs “` in the first place. What is he really running and hiding from?? Once he figures “` that “` out. He's good 2 go!!

George dahling, how many trips to rehab is this now? Step 1 - Hire a Driver! before you kill someone else, OK? After that, no one cares what you do.
